It's a home derby, simple as that. This is how they play out, it was never going to be overly one-sided. I've played in plenty of them and this is just how they go. The game plan is working so far for Northern Ireland.

I can guarantee Jackie Burns will do all she can to stay on this pitch. She has done exceptionally well, not just to make saves but to control her box and put off strikers.

You can tell Northern Ireland are starting to frustrate England with the little things, like slowing down play or being a bit cheeky when returning the ball for throw-ins.

Ironically, the fourth official hasn't helped as she threw one ball straight against the water coolers as Rachel Daly was waiting for a throw in. Every second helps.

This team has really inspired a nation in the growth of women's football and the Irish FA are really excited about the future and the opportunity to build on the capacity of the women's game. The IFA now need to do all they can to push women's football forward.

Northern Ireland have been set up well tonight and are proving to be stubborn opposition.

It means England have to resort to strikes from long range but Millie Bright's 30-yard piledriver is seen all the way by Jackie Burns.

Consistency is important - being a player you want to get used to the partnerships and if it's a winning formula why change it? I think there will be changes at half time but for me as a player I always preferred to play with the similar players, you get to know each other inside and out and you get to know each others movements.
