Spain have been much livelier since the break but Denmark are throwing their bodies at everything in the box. They are trying to hold on as long as possible. As it stands, Spain are going through but it only takes one goal from Denmark to turn the whole thing around.

Is Rikke Madsen pulled back as she chases a ball into the box? There does look to be contact but the referee doesn't see anything in it.

    Alexandra Popp cannot stop scoring!

It's three in three Euro 2022 group games for the long-serving Germany forward.

She's in the right place to power a header into the net after an assist by substitute Kathrin-Julia Hendrich.

It's a long way back for Finland now.

    Lucy Ward
Former Leeds striker on BBC Two

They just need a cutting edge Spain, they're doing everything right apart from the last bit. To some extent they're trying to score the perfect goal but they don't need to, they just need to score.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:05 British Summer Time 16 July 2022

    Denmark 0-0 Spain

We talked about the service was going to be there and trying to play behind the backline was going to be there. The quality of Caldentey on the ball and she jinx it out wide and this is what we are talking about, balls into the box and no focal point for Spain.

Vicky Losada wanted a number nine on the pitch and Spain are making that change. Esther González is coming on.

    Mark Scott
    Match of the Day commentator

It has been a very good first half for Germany with Sophia Kleinherne scoring her first goal for Germany. They are showing us exactly why many fancy them to be not just contenders, but the favourites.

So far so good for Spain, who are joining Germany in the quarter-finals as things stand.

All it takes is a Denmark goal for things to change, however...

  16. 'Denmark defending comfortably'published at 20:57 British Summer Time 16 July 2022

    HT: Denmark 0-0 Spain

    Vicky Losada
Manchester City midfielder on BBC Two

I would bring a number nine (Esther Gonzalez) on. It is really important because they are playing with five players at the back. They are defending very comfortably.

  17. 'Spain had the better chances'published at 20:57 British Summer Time 16 July 2022

    Denmark 0-0 Spain

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Two

Spain had the better chances and would have expected to convert at least one of those, especially at set-pieces. But they are really tough to deal with. When you got Pernille Harder on the pitch, there's a clear fire inside her to get Denmark over the line.

By the way, that was Sophia Kleinherne's first goal for Germany. She is not going to forget Milton Keynes in a hurry.

What a time to break your duck. The 22-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt defender's effort is Germany's seventh goal in two-and-a-half games at Euro 2022. They are yet to concede.

  19. Spain need another gearpublished at 20:55 British Summer Time 16 July 2022

    HT: Denmark 0-0 Spain

    Emma Sanders
BBC Sport at Brentford Community Stadium

Spain only need a draw to progress but as one of the pre-tournament favourites they will want to do more in the second half.

The likes of Germany, England and France have put down big performances - Spain haven't yet.

They need to go up another gear if they want to go far in the competition and though they have had chances here in Brentford, they have not been clinical enough again.

    HT: Finland 0-1 Germany

    Sue Smith
Former England international on BBC Four

Germany knew what to expect from Finland, playing in this rigid 4-4-2 and would be difficult to break them down. They would have to stay patient, create overloads from out wide and they set he time wit eh intensity and energy.

They got the goal and it was a fantastic ball and finish after intricate play, it was excellent.

Sara Doorsoun has shown great pace and that is where Finland can get at them with the long ball over the top. Germany, though, have stayed strong, solid and switched on then cleaned up when required.
