The final pass and decision making in the final third. It was a big difference. There were a few times France were through on goal and if they had just picked their head up and picked out a team-mate they would have had a cutting edge shot at goal. They are young in that sense. Decision-making is everything.

Oberdorf has everything in her locker. She has covered every blade of grass tonight. She was phenomenal. The only reason she was not player of the match was because Popp scored two goals.

She is such a smart player. She is somebody England will have to do a job on in the final.

We knew one of the strengths of France was to use the wings. Germany closed the space so we could not see that in attack. They were good and well-organised and France did not play their best. They could not express their talent.

Germany have had a fantastic tournament, only conceding one goal all the way to the final. They have been in transition for a few years now, and they seem to be the Germany of old. They came into the tournament unknown but now we know who they are.

Really professional performance from Germany, they deserved the win in the end with the goals that they scored and the moments of quality. The ball in from Svenja Huth and the header from Alexandra Popp was just brilliant. The Germany players, the work rate that they've put in tonight the endeavour, the selfless attitude for each other has been rewarded with a trip to Wembley and a place in the final against England. For France they come up short. That quality we know they had in the final third just wasn't quite there on the night.

What a match we have just witnessed. The tempo, the skill level, the execution of passes in it from both teams. What it came down to is that this German team are so efficient in everything they do. And when you have a striker like Alexandra Popp, who is ruthless in front of goal and has that cutting edge, that was difference.

Germany have now reached the final of the Women’s European Championship in nine of their 11 appearances in the tournament (only failing to do so in 1993 and 2017) – the most of any team.

They did not qualify in the first two editions, which only had four teams.

It was a terrific game between two high-quality sides. Germany had the difference. They had the player who could score the goals. Alex Popp has taken her chance with both hands. Germany ominously into the final.

It was a really good game, especially in the middle of the park. We've seen moments of quality like the Germany goals. England are going to have outwork Germany.

Seeing this Germany team live, they are relentless in the way they attack. They are such a difficult proposition to come up against.
