Merle Frohms had to make sure that she got across the goal because that was a lovely delivery in and Wendie Renard certainly attacked that.

France have an even better chance from the resulting corner. Wendie Renard is at the back post and powers a header towards the bottom near corner which Merle Frohms keeps out with her feet. So close.

You'd be brave to bet on a winner of this one. France, as they have done all game, are so fast and so direct that every time they run at the German defence it gets people up off their seats.

But Germany, as they showed in the first half, can conjure a goal out of nothing.

It's finally balanced and promises to be a thrilling half hour, maybe more.
