Merle Frohms had to make sure that she got across the goal because that was a lovely delivery in and Wendie Renard certainly attacked that.

France have an even better chance from the resulting corner. Wendie Renard is at the back post and powers a header towards the bottom near corner which Merle Frohms keeps out with her feet. So close.

Diani showing her pace there to get her beyond the defender. You thought Bacha had made the wrong decision by not letting the ball flow on. But Germany stepped away from her.

You'd be brave to bet on a winner of this one. France, as they have done all game, are so fast and so direct that every time they run at the German defence it gets people up off their seats.

But Germany, as they showed in the first half, can conjure a goal out of nothing.

It's finally balanced and promises to be a thrilling half hour, maybe more.

Geyoro's link-up play is magnificent. Her first touch is always to take the ball away from the player near her and she can pass it too.

France’s Clara Mateo has created a chance every 14 minutes at Euro 2022. That is 13 chances from only 188 minutes.

Only Germany’s Klara Buhl (14) - who missed today's game with Covid - has created more chances at these Euros - and that is out of everyone who has started every game.

The ball bounces in front of France sub Selma Bacha 30 yards out. Too tempting not to hit but her strike just cannons off a German defender.

France are just so wasteful at times. They get themselves in great positions and then it's that final ball where they get carried away and can't quite find the right weight of pass.

Germany's Lena Oberdorf goes down holding her face. What's happened here?

Jule Brand is just such a difficult player to play against. She got a good turn of foot, good pace about her, nice trickery and good close control.
