When will we ever have consistency?? No point in VAR when it's not even coming close. Fails to rectify the Jota decision vs Spurs but then does for Man City today, having failed to get the Ref look at the Arsenal shout in the same game. Bizarre. I'd rather potentially dodgy but entirely human decisions in the heat of the moment decided these things than this current circus.

    Arsenal 1-1 Man City

Aaron Ramsdale took a hit to his eye during all that too and you can see it start to swell up. He wants a bit of ice on it while the referee has a quiet word with one of the ball boys behind the goal, who was reluctant to give it to Bernardo Silva for City's corner.

    Arsenal 1-1 Man City

Thomas Partey, who has been excellent for Arsenal today, chips it over to the right.

It's crossed in but City deal with it. That was a decent spell from Arsenal. They need to hold on for at least five minutes.

Frustrating. Arsenal keep the ball well for a few minutes but are pushed back to Aaron Ramsdale. He then smashes it way too far up the pitch and it's straight out for a throw-in to City.

The Premier league is the best league in the world without doubt. However there is also no doubt we have some of the worst officiating and zero accountability for how poor some of these decisions are.

Ruben Dias shot... blocked by Rob Holding. Emile Smith Rowe tries to play in Gabriel Martinelli but he won't reach it.

There's an off-field scuffle between Martinelli and Aymeric Laporte too. The players and the crowd are getting agitated.

Nathan Ake slides it through to Kevin de Bruyne but Takehiro Tomiyasu gets a tackle in.

Jane: As Matt of Eastbourne says, Arsenal have nothing to complain about. I'm a long-suffering Arsenal fan and I'm so disappointed that they have totally lost all focus.

Thomas Partey goes on an excellent run down the left. Gabriel Martinelli is sprinting to get into the box but doesn't quite get there as it's rolled in.

Aymeric Laporte coolly passes it back to Ederson and he's lucky it just about gets there before Martinelli nips in!

Another day, another game decided by awful PL refereeing.

It's a penalty and a red card for two bookable offences. Not sure what Arsenal have to complain about.
