Even Kevin de Bruyne is making mistakes. He air swipes it as it comes over from the left and he's under pressure from Nathan Redmond on the edge of the box.

Redmond might have even got the slightest of touches on it.

How has Raheem Sterling not scored this??

Phil Foden slides it across from the left. Sterling is completely unmarked, it comes through to him and he coolly - too coolly - tries to side-foot it in from close range.

Fraser Forster reacts to save it with his outstretched leg, then gets up quickly to poke away the rebound.

Great save but Sterling HAS to score.

Nathan Redmond almost puts Stuart Armstrong through but Ederson comes out to the edge of his area to kick it away.

Tunde Paul: The thing about Southampton is that they always show up at the party when least expected. The party is still young, time will tell if they will dominate and leave with the goodies. Man City will be looking to hurt them. Game on!

Kevin de Bruyne flicks it on to Jack Grealish in the middle and he's clattered into by Jan Bednarek.

Grealish isn't happy and goes back to have a few words with Oriol Romeu, after he says something which winds him up.

Simon Hooper has to calm things down. City are clearly frustrated. Bednarek ends up in the book.

Joao Cancelo curls in a cross from deep but it's way over Ruben Dias and straight out for a goal kick.

He shakes his head...

Ciy are living dangerously.

Armando Broja is offside again but Che Adams slides him in, he beats Ederson to it, goes down appealing for a penalty, then the flag goes up.

Jan Bednarek plays it over the top but there's too much on it for Che Adams.

Jack Grealish then skips away down the left for City and wins a corner when his cut-back is poked behind.

Joao Cancelo eventually blasts it over the bar from long range.

Romain Perraud is wrestled to the ground by Raheem Sterling in a tussle near the touchline. Southampton have a free-kick, it's played forward to Stuat Armstrong but he can't find Oriol Romeu to his right.

Armando Broja is played in behind. City think he's offside but the flag isn't up yet. Broja carries on, slots it past Ederson, runs off to celebrate, then the flag goes up.

There's a quick VAR check and they confirm it's not a goal.

West Ham United

West Ham boss David Moyes to Sky Sports: "We did an awful lot of good things. We didn't deserve to win but we certainly deserved to draw."

On Declan Rice's performance: "He's a good player, and we had a lot of players who did good jobs today, but not enough right at the end to get something from the game.

"I'm not coming here to lose. In the end I don't think we deserved to but we did because of our own naivety. Things you learn as a young player, how to see games out. We didn't do that in the last minute of the game."

On the season so far: "The players have done a really good job. We are trying to challenge the teams up at the top and make them know they are not going to get an easy game against us."

It's not working for City at the moment. Kyle Walker makes the run down the right but Kevin de Bruyne's diagonal pass goes straight out for a goal kick.

Joao Cancelo is played in behind by Kevin de Bruyne. He cuts it back, looking for Bernardo Silva, but Fraser Forster is there at the near post to gather it in.

Pep Guardiola is gesturing furiously on the touchline.

West Ham boss David Moyes to BBC Match of the Day: "It's not easy when you lose a goal in the last second.

"It was certainly avoidable. We made a couple of poor decisions in the build-up to it.

"A draw would have been a good result as we hadn't played well enough to score goals, but we certainly kept Man Utd out enough to get the draw.

"I want to win. I’m not coming to these team to let them beat me. I’m coming challenge them. I can’t fault the players for their effort. But we just lacked little bits and did not do the correct things, how to see games out and we didn’t do that in the last minute.

"They [the team] been great, we need to keep at it, hanging in there. See where we end up. It shows you how disappointed we are that we’ve come here and should have got a point."

Che Adams holds it for Armando Broja on the right. He's away and there's suppot in the middle but he can't pick them out with the cross.

City are back on the ball, spreading it from left to right. It comes to Kyle Walker, who tries to drill it in from out wide but it's away from Mohammed Salisu.
