Manchester United are making a lot of errors now. There's nerves in the side. A heavy touch from one player and hesitation from two others allows Armando Broja to nip in and set off on an attack that ultimately sees him muscled off the ball.

lamplit: I think a lot of people don’t realise that the PL got tougher - take away Man City from the PL and it’s generally tight. City are the exception - the outlier.

    Chances at both ends!

Marcus Rashford takes one touch to many as he tries to find an angle to shoot at one end before Saints counter and Armando Broja chips an effort past David de Gea but not on target. United clear.

Charlie @ 13.40 has nailed it. More than the results and trophies. It’s actually hard to watch United at the moment and in the last couple of years. With Fergie, you would go into majority of games confident of getting a result. I just hope we get back to that sort of place sooner rather than later.

They work the ball really well on the edge of the box and find Stuart Armstrong in space on the right. His rising shot flies over the bar.

It wouldn't be a surprise to see either see win this. They're both giving it a go. It just needs that one bit of quality.

Papito M&N: Ronaldo has past he's prime he needs to retire, Maguire isn't a footballer, my grandpa can defend better than him, Rashford showing little or no interest.

Robin: McTominay struggling to hold the midfield for the millionth time. Just stop playing him there for God’s sake.

Number 41: So with Ole they were asleep in the first half and woke up in the second, and with Ralf they start awake but fall asleep at half time. Maybe with the next manager they'll be able to stay awake for the whole match.

The travelling Saints fans sense blood and are trying to urge their side on for a second but the United fans are seeing deja vu - leading 1-0 to be pegged back to 1-1 for the third consecutive game.
