    Oh, what a waste!

Southampton have men in attack. Kyle Walker-Peters has the ball and a host of team-mates to his left. He finds Stuart Armstrong, who opts to poke a tame shot wide instead of showing a bit of composure to put a better placed man in a yellow and blue shirt in.

It was a fantastic finish. They won the second ball in the midfield and it was a lovely through-ball. Che Adams' opens his body up, a little like Thierry Henry used to; he fed it in in off the post. It was right off the money. They probably deserved it off the back of the end of the first half. Game on.

Charlie: I don’t know about other United fans, but lack of results and trophies aside in recent years, I can’t remember us consistently dominating sides in games week in week out since Fergie. It’s the performances overall that have been the most worrying.

    Che Adams

    Brilliant finish!

You can't say they don't deserve this. They've continued to play and attack, even after falling behind.

Che Adams is played in behind the United defence by Mohamed Elyounoussi, staying onside, and slots a superb shot inside the far post.

    Game on.

Christian Eriksen says it is a miracle he is back playing football for Brentford

Christian Eriksen is "a joy to watch" and will play a friendly for Brentford on Monday, says Bees boss Thomas Frank.

The 29-year-old has joined the club on a six-month deal having been released by Inter Milan after suffering cardiac arrest at Euro 2020 last summer.

Frank says Eriksen is "bubbling" but he will not feature against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.

"I think he's fine, he's training well and he looks like the quality player we know he is," said Frank.

The Denmark midfielder, who has been fitted with an implanted cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) - which is similar to a pacemaker - only joined up with his new team-mates in training this week.

"It's a joy watching him play football - so natural for him - so that's fantastic to see, but he will not be available for the team tomorrow [Saturday]," added Frank.

"That would always be too early after just one week. We will have a friendly game on Monday where he will play minutes and that's the right way to do it."

He won't be playing today as he's not quite ready to make that step, but Christian Eriksen will be at Brentford's game with Crystal Palace to say hello to the fans.

You'll remember only too well that the Dane suffered a cardiac arrest during a game at Euro 2020 and is now looking to begin his playing career again with the Bees...

Manchester United are unbeaten in all 300 Premier League home matches they've led at half-time (W278-D22-L0).

    Pretty impressive.

Southampton have lost each of their previous 15 Premier League games when trailing at the break.

Roger: Man U all over the shop at the back. And in attack they seem to think they have a God given right to thread a pass through when there's no room.

Is it really only amateur Utd fans who can see how terrible the midfield is? The Emperor's New Clothes springs to mind - don't believe what the eye sees, believe the hype.

So, Jadon Sancho's goal is the difference.

The England forward has scored two goals in his last three Man United appearances in all competitions, as many goals as he netted in his first 23 competitive games for the club.

All four of Sancho's Man United goals were scored since Ole Gunnar Solskaer was sacked (two under Michael Carrick, two under Ralf Rangnick).

The more I watch Ronaldo the more I fear his legs are gone. Can finish instinctively but doesn't look like he has the strength to get a shot in if he's running.

Southampton have dominated the last 10 minutes. You can see what they are trying to do and you can see the structure. [Stuart] Armstrong is coming narrow and slipping Walker-Peters in to get crosses in. There are opportunities.
