End to end stuff so far with both sets of supporters being brought to their feet.

Bruno Fernandes is doing a lot of directing during breaks in play, telling Raphael Varane to keep an eye on the space down the right then turning to Jadon Sancho and suggesting the England international to cut inside from the left hand touchline.

Marcus Rashford is found down the right by a long ball. His touch is spot on but he can't compete for strength with Mohammed Salisu.

Saints are chasing a big achievement today.

They can become the second club in the last five seasons to remain unbeaten in all four Premier League fixtures versus Man United and Man City in a single season, after Wolves in 2019-20 (W2-D2-L0).

Thomas: Ronaldo keeps making noises about being unhappy at United. Well maybe if his finishing wasn't awful the team might get more points. Needs so many big chances per goal at the moment.

Saints have three opportunities to score in one attack, with Kyle Walker-Peters meeting the ball at the back post, Che Adams having to dive backwards to try and get a header and then James Ward-Prowse's follow up blocked.

United then break and Jadon Sancho - who has started brilliantly - seeing an attempted poked shot past Fraser Forster saved by the keeper.

Romain Perraud to the rescue!

Another good, driving run from Jadon Sancho sets United away and from his pass, Cristiano Ronaldo skips around the keeper and shoots in target.

Saints left-back Perraud has charged back, though, and slides in to stop the ball finding the net.

Che Adams goes for goal from 40 yards out but sends his effort way over the bar.

Jadon Sancho runs into the away box and pokes a ball back towards Bruno Fernandes, but Oriol Romeu is there to intercept and put the ball behind.
