You never see Jarrod Bowen give anything up. He gets the balls that, at times, he seems to have no right to get a hold of.

Lots of quick passes on the edge of Hungary's box but England are crowded out before James Justin sends into a low cross which the keeper gets down to gather.

Action at both ends in the deafening din of the Puskas Arena. Hungary certainly troubling England and Connor Coady did brilliantly to save his side with that goal-line clearance.

Jarrod Bowen has already had a couple of dangerous moments on his England debut.

England's defence is increasingly coming under pressure from some decent balls into the box. This is a good game with action at both ends of the pitch.

What a ball from Loic Nego. He did some damage at Wembley from that right wing-back position. A first-time cross and it is that perfect weight into the channel that is a nightmare for a defender. It should have been 1-0. A great opportunity.

Great defending by Conor Coady.

He gets back to tidy up on the line after Dominik Szoboszlai's attempt goes under Jordan Pickford.

It looks like it's going over the line before Coady clears and England escape.

He manages to get the shot in with his right foot does Bowen. But again, he is very central. He is not staying out on the right side, he is getting into the middle of the box. Nice build-up play from England.

70% possession for England in the opening 10 minutes.

And another chance for Jarrod Bowen.

This time he attempts a volley from Trent Alexander-Arnold's deflected cross but it's tame and the keeper gathers.

They are not going to make it easy, Hungary. They are that kind of team. They have a very good record on the road, but at home, in this stadium, they have not been great.

Hungary are camped inside their own half. Jarrod Bowen's pace is causing all sorts of issues in their defence. He's well up for this and eager to impress. Bowen has a pop inside the box but it's blocked by Attila Szalai and spins out for a corner.

I am looking forward to seeing the combination of Bellingham and Rice. Is Bellingham that player that can step forward? His passing forward is excellent. Also Trent Alexander-Arnold. We all want to see him in an England shirt. Can he perform that right-wing back role to the same level he does with Liverpool?

England's encouraging start continues as Jarrod Bowen races into the box before losing possession.

We've seen that run many times before when he has been playing for West Ham.

The national anthems of both countries were given total respect but there were audible jeers from this crowd in Budapest, mostly made up of children, when England's players took the knee.

Quite a feisty start. A lot of loose balls, with Trent Alexander-Arnold involved a lot on this right-hand side. Frenetic stuff.

An early touch for James Justin to settle the nerves as England win back possession quickly from the kick-off.

By the way, Gareth Southgate is going for the casual look. He's wearing a short sleeved polo shirt. Not a waistcoat in sight.

England are playing in their traditional white. Hungary are in their familiar red shirts. Harry Kane is wearing a rainbow captain's armband.
