  1. 'Newcastle have been shrewd'published at 19:32 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2022

    Micah Richards
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think Newcastle have done really good business.

Kieran Trippier was the catalyst, coming from Spanish champions Atletico Madrid. It always takes that one player to take the plunge.

Chris Wood was a very shrewd move. Taking a player off of someone who will be fighting relegation as well.

To stay in the league, and have a base to build on, I think it's been good for Newcastle.

  3. 'What is success for Everton?'published at 19:30 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2022

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think Everton would have been happy with virtually anyone after Rafael Benitez.

What is success for Everton? Look at them since Roberto Martinez had been there, what's the expectation under Frank Lampard?

It was 2013-14 they finished fifth under Martinez, after that - 11th, 11th, seventh, eighth, eighth, 12th, 10th - and they've spent over £500m.

  4. Liverpool chasing Carvalhopublished at 19:28 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2022

    Liverpool

Will we get any more news from Anfield?

Liverpool are reportedly in ongoing talks with Fulham over winger Fabio Carvalho, who would return to the Championship club on loan until the summer.

They have less than four hours to get that deal sorted.

Earlier today defender Nat Phillips joined Bournemouth on loan. They have also been linked with Liverpool's Welsh international Neco Williams.

  5. Kulusevski targets 'a lot of goals'published at 19:28 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2022

    Tottenham Hotspur

It's been a busy day at Tottenham as it looks like being two in, four out.

One of those coming in is Dejan Kulusevski, a 21-year-old Sweden winger, who has signed on an 18-month loan from Juventus.

In a message to the Spurs fans, he says: "I'm so happy to be here and very grateful for this opportunity to play for this amazing club.

"I cannot wait to see you in the stadium and hear your voices. I'm going to give it my all and do my best to win a lot of games and score a lot of goals.

"I hope to see you very soon and come on you Spurs."

  7. 'I'm excited about Everton'published at 19:23 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2022

    Micah Richards
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think when we've spoken about Everton in the past, they have made some ridiculous decisions.

This could be a massive coup for Everton. I'm excited about Everton. Frank Lampard is fresh and young and hungry.

He appeals to the modern-day player. Donny Van de Beek will be hungry, Dele Alli will be ready.

If you look at the spine of Everton's team, when everyone's fit it is not that bad. There is something there. With Lampard, something is telling me this could be the right fit.

  8. Young Leicester striker leaves clubpublished at 19:20 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2022

    Leicester City

A transfer tiddler from Leicester and they have agreed a deal for young striker Ali Reghba to join Algerian side Chabab Riadhi Belouizdad on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee.

Reghba, 22, has not made a senior appearance for the Foxes.

  9. 'Lots of big deals happening'published at 19:18 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2022

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

There seem to be more big deals being done this deadline day. Newcastle are trying to buy their way out of trouble, but I'm not saying that in a derogatory way - it's what any other club near the bottom would do if they had the finance.

I remember last year at this time hardly anything happened and it was all hyped up, but today there's a lot of things happening.

  10. Everton's number 30...published at 19:18 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2022

Donny van de Beek has gone all nostalgic at Everton, as he'll be wearing the number 30 shirt, the number he wore at Ajax.
