It is a tough one but a chance nonetheless. A cross from the right is met by Haji Wright, but it is slightly behind him and he can't generate the accuracy required. His header flies wide.

Bukayo Saka is already proving a handful in attacking areas for England, while Harry Kane has been happy to drop deep to receive the ball.

That looked like for all the world Harry Kane was going to score his first goal of the tournament.

Harry Maguire turns into Diego Maradona for a second*. After a corner is headed out of the box to the right, the defender keeps the ball in and then weaves past a couple of challenges before poking a pass into the middle. It is cleared and then fired well over from range by Mason Mount.

*OK, that's maybe overselling a bit. Look, he beat a man alright.

Oh, first big chance and it goes to England!

It is knife through butter initially as Bukayo Saka is found by Jude Bellingham, but after the pull back finds Harry Kane his low shot is defected wide.

Interestingly from England, they are looking to slow the game down because they know how quick and dangerous USA are on the counter and on the press.

England are being patient because USA have tweaked tactically and are matching up.

The USA now starting to show a bit of zip in their play, shifting the ball around sharply in midfield. It doesn't go anywhere, though, a pass towards Antonee Robinson drifting out of play.
