Declan Rice did well there to get out and get half a block on it. It was a comfortable save for Jordan Pickford.

The USA are in the ascendancy.

They test Jordan Pickford again but it is an easy test to pass. Yunus Musah's shot from range has the sting taken out of it by a big deflection and heads straight for the Everton keeper.

USA are causing serious bother now.

England don't look as comfortable at all.

Timothy Weah whips a cross into the middle and it finds the boot of Weston McKennie. He is in all the space he needs, with England's goal bang in front of him but he chips his shot over the bar.

There is a really good atmosphere.

The pitch looks lush but, looking at how the players are passing the ball, it must be a little hard because they are struggling to control the ball. It must be a little bit harder than they are used to.

What a pass this is from Harry Maguire! He pings it from deep, right into the stride of Raheem Sterling. The forward cuts inside and looks threatening before a touch too many allows the US defence to rally and stop him.

England go for the 'square ball across the back' approach to draw some of the sting from this USA team. Kill the momentum.

USA have had some good moments, but Sergino Dest has had two really poor moments there. Those are better and exciting moments for the USA but the quality is just letting them down.

This is a contest now.

Christian Pulisic looks to chip a ball over the top for Timothy Weah but it has way too much on it.

The USA come forward again but Sergino Dest's ball inside from the right is the wrong one and is cut out. Soon after, Dest does deliver into the mixer but too close to Jordan Pickford, who claims. Decent little spell for the side in blue, though. England a bit ragged.

The first chants of 'USA' rise from the Americans in the crowd. It is immediately met by jeers.

Tell you what, that drummer fancies himself a player. Like listening to the end of Whiplash.

England are probing the left side of the USA defence and getting joy. Bukayo Saka has got in twice and that already looks like a route they can exploit. USA look like they will be relying heavily on Chelsea's Christian Pulisic for threat.
