He was offside, there's no doubt about that. Laporte nearly played him onside because Laporte was the only one of the Spanish players following the Germans in. But what a header that was.

It was a wonderful ball in but he is just offside.

I spotted his run and he just went half a second too early. It was a wonderful header.

There was no need for him to go that early when he's got that much space to run into. There was nobody around him.

Antonio mate, you didn't need to go so early. The space was there, the delivery was there, a massive goal was there for the taking.

It is chalked off and Spain survive.

The Germany players must concentrate every second of this match. Timo Kehrer fell asleep and didn't see Ferran Torres. Then he had to chase him and take him down and get a silly yellow card. Just an example of how dangerous this Spain side is.

West Ham's Thilo Kehrer is the first man booked for a sliding hack on Ferran Torres. He says he got the ball. Yeah, chinny reckon.

Spain's corner is flicked on and to the feet of Ferran Torres but a German man flings himself in to ensure Manuel Neuer isn't tested.

Spain suddenly getting a bit of joy with balls over the top of the German defence.

Dani Olmo is found and denied fashioning something by a sliding tackle. Corner.

Spain very much concentrating their attacking play down their left side but they've not been able to cause too many problems yet down the Germany right, although if Ferran Torres had held his run there...well.

That Spanish attack has got the horns tooting inside inside the Al Bayt Stadium.

Ferran Torres will never be more relieved to see an offside flag...

That is good defending by Germany, Rudiger just lets him run in there and he's about half a yard offside.

Ferran Torres will be glad he was. He won't want to see that one again.

It wouldn't have counted because he was offside. I don't understand the rule - why is the linesman letting that go?

Anything can happen in that move, a player can get injured. Why doesn't the linesman just flag when it's that clear?

The flag saves Ferran Torres' blushes!

Spain break down the left, finding Marco Asensio and his low ball is met by the darting Torres for a shot he lifts over the bar.

Asensio was off, though, when he received the ball. Torers should still hit the target.

Spain are getting so many men back to help they haven't really got anything up front when they get the ball back.

They might change if they win this game and Alvaro Morata might come in for the final game against Japan.

Both teams have pressed really well so far.

To underline that, Sergio Busquets is closed down in midfield and slices a pass straight out of play.

That's one fairy butchered, according to Andrew (19:22 GMT).
