    Uruguay 0-0 South Korea

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One

South Korea were after a push but I'm not sure there was enough there.

South Korea have started this second half well. They look the more likely and they look accomplished on the ball.

For me there is not a lot in that.

    Uruguay 0-0 South Korea

Son Heung-min takes a corner and Uruguay goalkeeper Sergio Rochet gets a good fist on the ball to punch it clear.

Half-hearted appeals for a penalty with South Korea saying Rodrigo Bentancur pushed Kim Jin-su but neither the on-field, nor the VAR officials are interested.

    Uruguay 0-0 South Korea

This one's worth staying around for right until the end...

Each of South Korea's last eight World Cup goals have come in the second half of games - the last three have been in the 90th minute.

  5. 'More urgency needed'published at 14:06 Greenwich Mean Time 24 November 2022

    Uruguay 0-0 South Korea

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One

I want to see a bit more urgency in the second half, being quicker with the ball and taking a few more risks and try and win the game, rather than drawing it.

I understand it from South Korea but Uruguay has got more experience and more match-winners. They need to be proactive in their play and really try and take the game to South Korea.

    Uruguay 0-0 South Korea

Son Heung-min tries to get more involved and his dancing feet sees him skip past a couple of challenges down the left flank but Martin Caceres is a no-nonsense defender and barges him off the ball, legally say the officials.

South Korea really do look the most likely to score at the moment... another upset coming?

This was the closest Uruguay have come - Diego Godin seeing a header bounce off the post.

I like what the refs are doing with the added time. We only had one minute because there were no goals, no VAR, no subs and no injuries. Consistency. Proof they are accurately recording the time.

    Brazil v Serbia (19:00 GMT)

Will Brazil and Neymar cope with the "immense pressure" they face as they attempt to bring home their first World Cup in 20 years?

Brazil versus Serbia is live on BBC One tonight with kick-off at 19:00 GMT.

  13. 'There will be goals in this one'published at 13:53 Greenwich Mean Time 24 November 2022

    HT: Uruguay 0-0 South Korea

    Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

You see 0-0 and you think it is a boring one but it hasn't been.

South Korea have been on the front foot and have been excellent in possession causing problems.

Uruguay however have grew into the game.

There will be goals in this one - I said it before.

  14. 'Good chances'published at 13:53 Greenwich Mean Time 24 November 2022

    HT: Uruguay 0-0 South Korea

    Jurgen Klinsmann
Former Germany head coach on BBC One

Both teams have tried to go forward, but there hasn't been many chances.

Uruguay have been trying to make the pitch really wide and put the ball over the backline because of how compact South Korea are.

We haven't seen many chances, but the ones we have seen have been good ones.

If you don't take chances like Hwang Ui-jo it can come back and hurt you. We saw that in the Canada and Belgium game last night.

  15. 'South Korea vulnerable on set pieces'published at 13:52 Greenwich Mean Time 24 November 2022

    HT: Uruguay 0-0 South Korea

    Ashley Williams
Former Wales captain on BBC One

We spoke before about South Korea would defend set pieces zonally and they do look a little bit vulnerable on them. The attacking team are able to get momentum and that is what happened with that Godin chance late in the half.

It has been a really good game to analyse. There are clearly two different styles of play.

  16. Postpublished at 13:52 Greenwich Mean Time 24 November 2022

    Uruguay 0-0 South Korea

Uruguay ended that half the stronger but neither side has created many chances.

Most of the play has been in the middle of the park, with South Korea sitting deep whenever they are out of posession.

  17. 'South Korea look the happier team'published at 13:51 Greenwich Mean Time 24 November 2022

    HT: Uruguay 0-0 South Korea

    Emma Sanders
BBC Sport at Education City Stadium

A big chance for each team in that half. Uruguay are a threat with every counter-attack and are looking to go long to use the pace of Darwin Nunez.

South Korea have dominated a lot of the ball and have played some good football but haven't had enough edge in the final third.

They look the happier team as the players head down the tunnel. The South Korean substitutes run onto the pitch to give their team-mates some encouragement.

There's a roar from each end of the stadium as the Uruguayan fans to the left and the South Koreans to the right both rise to their feet.

    HT: Uruguay 0-0 South Korea

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One

It looked like Uruguay had made a tactical change and Darwin Nunez had gone up front alongside Luis Suarez and they went to a back three with Facundo Pellistri at right wing-back and Mathías Olivera on the left.

Both teams have had their chances.

  19. Watch: Hwang Ui-jo 'wastes' South Korea's best chancepublished at 13:49 Greenwich Mean Time 24 November 2022

    HT: Uruguay 0-0 South Korea

This is that chance we have talked about for South Korea's Hwang Ui-jo. Should've done better.

  20. 'An intriguing first half'published at 13:48 Greenwich Mean Time 24 November 2022

    HT: Uruguay 0-0 South Korea

    Andy Cryer
    BBC Sport in Qatar

The sun is going down here in Qatar as the stadium lights all the way round the stadium start to glare.

An intriguing first half though with both sides showing more than enough they are capable of making their mark on this tournament.

South Korea have definitely been the better of the sides, but you can't help thinking Uruguay look more dangerous.
