South Korea aren't pressing at all. They are keeping a shape and keeping patient.
The problem is if there is no pressure on the ball and the other team have a wonderful passer like Gimenez, you have to drop off, you can't play the high line if you aren't pressing.

Uruguay have found their footing in the last few minutes and are enjoying a bright spell.
But the South Korea fans are still chanting away. It's only a few hundred of them in that area and they're making all the noise at the moment.

That is another exquisite pass from Jose Gimenez. There is just a slightly nudge on Darwin Nunez and that prevents him getting the shot away. But it all starts from that wonderful pass again.
Uruguay 0-0 South Korea
Nearly the first impact from Darwin Nunez. It's another lovely ball out of defence from Jose Maria Gimenez, the ball is headed across the face of goal but a leaping Nunez just get contact on a volley 10 yards out.
Uruguay starting to come into the game a bit more now.

The first real roar from the Uruguayans.
Federico Valverde's effort never really looked like it was going in but the South Americans just wanted to take the rare opportunity so far to get excited.
Uruguay 0-0 South Korea
South Korea are staying compact and looking to counter-attack early on.
Most of South Korea's play has been in aid of closing down Uruguay's right-flank, cutting the supply line from Facundo Pellistri (8) to Luis Suarez (9).

South Korea look like a threat. They have dominated the first half so far.

It is a brilliant run. That is what Valverde is capable of, when he plays inside, when he sees the space he can go. He's got great athleticism, that is what you want from a midfielder.
Uruguay 0-0 South Korea
Jose Maria Gimenez plays a lovely ball out of defence and it finds Real Madrid's Federico Valverde. He takes one touch to set himself and fires a snap half-volley at goal, but it is just over.
That's the best moment of the match so far though. Great skill from the Real man and unlucky to see it just go over the top.

Look at the shape from South Korea. They don't mind Diego Godin and the defenders having the ball there as you can't hurt them.
When it goes into Rodrigo Bentancur and Federico Valverde that is when they will press and try to play on the counter-attack.

They are going to have keep tracking Kim Jin-su down that left-hand side because he loves getting forward.
They will just need the switches of play, they are really key. Son Heung-min is keeping his width.
It's hard for Uruguay to press, especially with Luis Suarez leading the line, because he's not that type of player anymore.
Uruguay 0-0 South Korea
Hwang Ui-Jo is making his 50th appearance for South Korea today, with the forward scoring 16 goals in his 49 games before today.
Kim Jin-su gets forward from left back and is tight in the corner with Manchester United's Facundo Pellistri keeping him company. Kim's cross drifts out of play for a goal kick.

Sometimes teams just ease their way into games and they are cautious because they don't want to concede an early goal.
I would be happy if I was the South Korea boss because they came into the game as underdogs really but they've been the most composed side so far.
Uruguay 0-0 South Korea
It's noisy, a great atmosphere and a 100-mile-an-hour game so far. Nothing at all for either keeper to do so far though.

Even if he is half fit Son Heung-min has to play.
Lee Jae-sung is another one in midfield who can create stuff as well.
But Son Heung-min is a special player.

It is interesting to see how Uruguay are setting up.
We were interested to see where Darwin Nunez started and it does look like he is on the left wing, which is a position he isn't too used to. I suspect he'll want to get up the pitch and look to score goals as this game progresses.
Uruguay 0-0 South Korea
Fast and frantic. Just needs someone to take a breath and put their foot on it. Na Sang-ho tries to skip down the byeline and nutmegs Mathias Olivera but the ball is then hacked behind for a corner to South Korea.
Son Heung-min takes it from the right but the delivery is not the best and comes to nothing.

Who's winning the battle in the stands?
The South Koreans are the loudest of the two sets of supporters so far. They have a VERY loud drum.

South Korea already look comfortable in the middle of the pitch. They are demanding the ball, they've got good feet and they are looking to play good football.
It is a nice balance to have a mix of experience and young. Uruguay would probably like a few younger players coming through, especially in defence where there isn't much pace. South Korea might look to target that in the wide areas. But you always like the experience.
