    I don't understand all the negativity towards the Liverpool line-up. They played 120 minutes less than 3 days ago. Of course he is going to rest the key players. He has put out a sensible team that is more than capable of beating Southampton. Anyone with a clue would rather see him put a full strength squad out against a much tougher Wolves team on Sunday than against a 15th placed Southampton (no offence).

    Jurgen Klopp has urged his Liverpool players not to give away cheap free-kicks tonight because of the threat posed by Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse.

    "They are a highly energetic, well-organised team who defend well, press like crazy and counter-attack with all that they have," he said.

    "We mustn't make silly fouls because James Ward-Prowse can shoot into the corner of the goal from any corner of the pitch!"

    Huddersfield are one game away from a return to the Premier League after they beat Luton in the Championship play-off semi-finals last night.

  18. 'Klopp is one of the best managers I've seen'

    Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards has praised the remarkable work done by Jurgen Klopp in his seven years at Liverpool.

    Klopp is the first Liverpool manager in history to complete the set of the league title, European Cup, League Cup and FA Cup.

    Richards told BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club: "When he first came you are thinking what is he going to achieve? He was up against Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City and he has just taken this team to a completely different level.

    "Going to three Champions League finals in five years, winning the FA Cup, winning the league.

    "He's definitely one of the best managers I’ve seen since I have been watching football and it’s testament to what he has done at Liverpool Football Club."

    Ralph Hasenhuttl has proved to be an immensely popular figure at Southampton but the manager came under fire from Saints fans during their last game, a defeat at Brentford.

    Supporters chanted "Getting Sacked In The Morning" in the first signs of serious unrest, so it is a big night for Southampton and Liverpool.

    Hasenhuttl will want his Southampton side to bounce back which will, of course, damage Liverpool's title chances as they chase leaders Manchester City.
