  1. 'Evolution'published at 16:58 British Summer Time 29 May 2022

Former Liverpool defender Jason McAteer is speaking to LFC about succession planning at the club.

He says: "I think Jurgen Klopp gets this boot room concept and 'we keep it within this club'.

"Pep Lijnders would be the ideal to fill Jurgen's shoes. You look at an assistant manager. Why wouldn't you have James Milner? I see the whole thing evolving."

Right then, the bus is about to hit Childwall Fiveways. A tricky manoeuvre as this is a loaded roundabout with five exits. We've all been in a pickle there at one time or another.

Here's a screengrab of the crowds. It'll be considerably thicker by the time we hit the Liver Building in a few hours.

People sharing joy and football. Kids seeing heroes and good things. This is what we are in it for!

  3. 'What a journey'published at 16:51 British Summer Time 29 May 2022

Martin, a fan, speaks to BBC Radio Merseyside: "What a season, the best season. Klopp, what a leader. Rather than looking at what we missed out on, let's celebrate what we have achieved.

"We are two goals away from the quadruple. margins. Absolute margins. What a journey."

  4. 'The way you move...'published at 16:47 British Summer Time 29 May 2022

Dua Lipa's 'One Kiss is all it takes' hit blasts out as the procession up Queens Drive continues.

Club fans have taken this song to heart after partying to it at Wembley after the Carabao Cup success in February. The club have picked up on it and used it after recent home games. People seem to be happy with it. Drink it in.

Something in you, lit up heaven in me

The feeling won't let me sleep

'Cause I'm lost in the way you move, the way you feel...

Diogo Jota holds the FA Cup, Luis Diaz has the Carabao Cup. New faces really in the Jurgen Klopp era. One wonders what they'll think of all of this?

If you've not visited Liverpool, Queens Drive runs a long, long way, so for the crowds to be so lengthy and thick at this early stage of a parade is a good sign.

  6. 'The boys have been a joy'published at 16:42 British Summer Time 29 May 2022

Fiona, a fan, tells BBC Radio Merseyside: "We've made a 350-mile round trip be here today. We want the boys to know we are so proud of them. They have been incredible this season and we have had a ball following them. It has been an absolute joy."

The small truck driving in front of Liverpool's bus just sent some fireworks into the air. There's not been this much chaos on Allerton Road since chucking out time on Christmas Eve.

One house on Queens Drive has fans stood, quite literally, on the roof above a living room window. I'm talking four, fully-grown adults. I'm not sure that roof is strong enough for such load. Be well ladies and gents!

  8. Noise, confetti, fist pumps...published at 16:36 British Summer Time 29 May 2022

The noise lifts as the Liverpool bus reaches Queens Drive. The turn is like a river with red banks as fans wave a scarf, make a noise and snap a photo.

There are fist pumps coming from those on the bus, Mohamed Salah is signing something that will likely get thrown out to the masses.

A cannon blasts a load of confetti into the air. It's all going on. And it's good, positive stuff.

Philip Spracklen: Swap Mane for Robert Lewandowski

Richard Browne: Mane has been amazing but Diaz and Jota arriving gives us space. Filling Firmino's role is actually the issue ; Dembele would suit that.

As we have told you, several Liverpool reporters are stating Sadio Mane will indeed ask to leave Liverpool. So what's the next move? We're on #bbcfootball.

  12. Wins, losses, happiness...published at 16:25 British Summer Time 29 May 2022

So that's 63 matches and four defeats. That'll get you two trophies these days my friends.

The people seem happy. That's the whole point is it not?

Liverpool's bus is about to pass the Tesco on Mather Avenue. It'll flank the bars of Allerton Road shortly and then hit Queens Drive, where the crowds will begin to thicken up. Horns are going off and there are screams of appreciation from those catching a glimpse of the two trophies the Reds have to show for their season.

Former Liverpool midfielder Jason McAteer speaks to LFC TV: "Jurgen was vocal in saying we need to celebrate. I was vocal about not enjoying the success of their success. They won cups and had games three days later.

"You must celebrate victories. In our day we would go on holiday together. It builds spirit and you get the sense of winning something. I think it's massively important. I think it's one of the reasons Jurgen wanted this today."

Jurgen Klopp has a beer in one hand and the League Cup in the other. There are a fair few shades on show, hiding those bags after a long night.

  18. Parade kicks off...published at 16:05 British Summer Time 29 May 2022

I can tell you Liverpool's players - men and women - are on their parade bus.

They'll start on Queens Drive in the Allerton area and head north. They'll pass that landmark watering hole - The Jolly Miller - and turn left to head up West Derby Road towards town.

Allison Becker has his baseball cap on backwards, there's a lot of pyro going off and they're away.

  19. LFC to request fan info...published at 16:02 British Summer Time 29 May 2022

More from Liverpool chief executive Billy Hogan: "First off I think the ort important thing is I hope people are safe. We understand there were a lot of different experiences that took place. It's imperative we hear form supporters.

"We want to provide those facts to the relevant authorities. In the coming days we will be setting up a mechanism for supporters to reach out to us directly to provide their experiences and accounts of what happened."

  20. LFC comment on stadium chaos...published at 15:59 British Summer Time 29 May 2022

Liverpool FC chief executive Billy Hogan tells the club's website: "Last night was incredibly difficult, a disappointing night. What happened outside the stadium completely overshadowed it. The stadium entry and breakdown of security was absolutely unacceptable. And frankly the treatment of our fans as well.

"We are asking for a full and transparent investigation, an independent investigation.

"It is imperative we understand what happened last night. It's important we understand what happened and take whatever the lessons are."
