    Hull City 0-1 Sheff Utd

    Oh, everything but the finish!

Iliman Ndiaye has been a constant menace for Sheffield United today and he probably should have a goal to show for his efforts.

He gets the better of Tobias Figueiredo and cuts in from the right but his shot is straight at Matt Ingram in the home goal.

  2. Postpublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Huddersfield 0-1 Blackpool

First chance of the second half in west Yorkshire goes to the hosts but they are denied again by Blackpool keeper Dan Grimshaw.

This time it's a Danny Ward he keeps out although it's a fairly routine save.

It came from a Sorba Thomas cross. The winger has been lively.

  3. Postpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Hull City 0-1 Sheff Utd

Oooh, that looks like a let-off for the home side.

Iliman Ndiaye picks Tobias Figueiredo's pocket and is in on goal but the referee blows for a free-kick for a foul by the Senegalese.

I don't think there was anything in it.

  4. KICK-OFFpublished at 16:08 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

Huddersfield 0-1 Blackpool; Hull 0-1 Sheff Utd

Back under way in both of our games.

A one-goal advantage for the away side in both.

Can Sheffield United stay top of the Championship or can Hull peg them back?

Will Huddersfield's poor start to the season continue or can they fight back in the second half against Blackpool?

Keep tuned - answers will be provided on this page.

  6. Hull 'should be 2-1 up'published at 15:56 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

HT: Hull City 0-1 Sheff Utd

    Peter Swan
Former Hull City defender on BBC Radio Humberside

He [Ozan Tufan] had so many options there - left, right, over the top. He's tried to go over and it's the hardest one.

We should be 2-1 up. That was a great opportunity.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Hull City 0-1 Sheff Utd

Oli McBurnie scores for Sheff UtdImage source, Rex Features

Oli McBurnie's third goal in three games has the Blades in front at the break.

The Scotland international's low shot beat Matt Ingram at his near post and the Tigers keeper will think he probably should have done better.

The Blades have enjoyed much the better of things both before and after the goal but it's the home side who have had the game's two other big chances.

First Oscar Estupinan could only shoot straight at Wes Foderingham after racing through from the halfway line following a botched corner routine from the Blades and then, just before the break Turkey international Ozan Tufan lifted a shot over the bar when he really should have at least tested Foderingham.

If this stays as it is the Blades will go back to the top of the table.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Huddersfield 0-1 Blackpool

Theo Corbeanu celebrates his goal at HuddersfieldImage source, Getty Images

Theo Corbeanu's third goal in fourth games has Blackpool ahead at the break in west Yorkshire.

There have been chances at both ends with Jerry Yates wasting a good opportunity for the visitors while Blackpool keeper Dan Grimshaw has made two fine saves to deny Terriers midfielder Jack Rudoni.

It's not been a bad display from the hosts but they go off to a smattering of boos - after such a great season last term, Huddersfield fans are understandably disgruntled at sitting 23rd in the table at the minute.

MASSIVE chance for the home side.

Oscar Estupinan clips a brilliant ball between the centre backs for Ozan Tufan but the Turkey international lifts his shot over the crossbar.

He has to be hitting the target there.

  10. Postpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Huddersfield 0-1 Blackpool

Two minutes to be added on to the end of the first half at the John Smith's Stadium.

  11. Postpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Hull City 0-1 Sheff Utd

Got to credit Sheffield United here.

Twice they've forced the home side to go all the way back to their goalkeeper when they had looked in a good position.

The Blades doing well both on and off the ball so far today.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:49 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Huddersfield 0-1 Blackpool

Another fine shot from Jack Rudoni - equalled by an excellent save once again from Dan Grimshaw.

The follow-up is blocked for a corner, Huddersfield's sixth of the half.

Blackpool clear and win a foul. It's not exactly been smash and grab this - but Huddersfield will feel aggrieved to be behind.

  13. Postpublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Hull City 0-1 Sheff Utd

We're into six minutes of time added on at the end of the first half here in Hull.

If you're just joining us, Benjamin Tetteh had to go off injured for the home side and Max Lowe the visitors in separate incidents.

It’s a great ball from Gabriel, I thought Poveda had finished it but Corbeanu didn’t rush, he takes his time, it’s a good, composed finish.

You get people who will snatch at that but he’s took a touch and made it look easier than it was.

  15. goal

GOAL: Huddersfield 0-1 Blackpoolpublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Theo Corbeanu (38 mins)

    Talk about a counter-attack goal.

Blackpool soak up that Huddersfield pressure and break speedily from a corner through Jordan Gabriel.

He advances towards the Huddersfield area and picks out Ian Poveda, who hits the post but Theo Corbeanu is perfectly placed to tuck home the rebound for his third goal of the season.

  16. CLOSE!published at 15:43 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Huddersfield 0-0 Blackpool

Probably Huddersfield's best effort yet as Jack Rudoni pulls a trick from up his sleeve and unleashes a rocket from distance, only for Blackpool keeper Dan Grimshaw to paw it over.

  17. Postpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Hull City 0-1 Sheff Utd

Hull boss Shota ArveladzeImage source, PA Media

Hull City just don't have the answers right now.

They look to come forward but the visitors harry them into going all the way back to their goalkeeper.

With five minutes until the break I would venture Tigers boss Shota Arveladze just wants to get them in without this getting worse.

  18. Postpublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Huddersfield 0-0 Blackpool

The Terriers will not want the half-time whistle to come.

They are well on top. Danny Ward registers their latest effort with a smart shot on the turn but it flashes wide.

  19. Postpublished at 15:39 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Huddersfield 0-0 Blackpool

    Brett Ormerod
Former Blackpool striker on BBC Radio Lancashire

Sorba Thomas keeps coming back in on his right foot and he has a right whip on his cross.

He’s Huddersfield's best player and if anyone is going to create anything for them today you think 95% it’s likely to be him.

  20. Postpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Hull City 0-1 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United look so slick when they get their foot on the ball and are more than good value for their lead.

However, that Oscar Estupinan miss a few minutes ago should serve as a warning that while it's still only 1-0 Hull City are still right in this.
