    Huddersfield 0-0 Blackpool

Blackpool threaten again as Dom Thompson gets in down the left flank but with players free in the middle, his cross is too close to Huddersfield goalkeeper Lee Nicholls who grasps it gratefully.

  2. Postpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Hull City 0-0 Sheff Utd

Benjamin Tetteh requires treatment for an injuryImage source, Rex Features

Looks like the home side are going to be forced into an early sub.

Benjamin Tetteh is down in some discomfort holding his hamstring.

Seems unlikely he's going to be able to carry on.

  3. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:09 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Huddersfield 0-0 Blackpool

Well, hits is perhaps a slight exaggeration.

    Shaves, perhaps.

Regardless, Theo Corbeanu's dipping effort skims the top of Lee Nicholls' crossbar, with the Terriers keeper seemingly always convinced it wasn't going in.

  4. Postpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Hull City 0-0 Sheff Utd

Tommy Doyle is the latest Sheffield United player to line up a shot from range.

The Manchester City loanee gets it out of his feet well and curls one for the top corner but it lacks the power needed and Matt Ingram just plucks it out of the air.

  5. Postpublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Huddersfield 0-0 Blackpool

It's not been the ideal start to the season for Huddersfield but they will take heart from their recent record against today's visitors.

The Terriers have lost only once in their past eight meetings with Blackpool - and the Tangerines have not won at the John Smith's Stadium since 2007.

Quiet start in West Yorkshire so far.

  6. Postpublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Hull City 0-0 Sheff Utd

    First shot of the day.

Sander Berge picks up a loose ball 30 yards out and thinks why not.

The Norway international's shot goes wide of Matt Ingram's right post in the Hull City goal.

    Hull City 0-0 Sheff Utd

Bright opening from the visitors who went on a foray down their right in the opening minute but the cross into the middle was just a little overhit.

Despite being third in the table, the Blades have taken just two points from their opening three away games.

  8. KICK-OFFpublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

Huddersfield 0-0 Blackpool; Hull City 0-0 Sheff Utd

We're under way in both our 15:00 BST Championship games on this Sunday afternoon.

Can Huddersfield find just a second win of the season? Can Sheffield United end Hull City's 100% home record and go back to the top of the Championship.

  9. Terriers to pay respects to Eleanorpublished at 14:59 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Huddersfield v Blackpool (15:00 BST)

Huddersfield are today paying tribute to Eleanor Haigh, a member of the club's media department, who sadly passed away at the age of 26 earlier this week.

  10. And the Oscar goes to...published at 14:56 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

Hull City v Sheff Utd (15:00 BST)

    Oscar EstupinanImage source, Rex Features

In Oscar Estupinan Hull City have the division's form striker.

The Colombia international has bagged seven goals in seven appearances this season, and netted a hat-trick in the win over Coventry City last week.

So far all his goals have come in home games and the Tigers will hope he can add to his tally this afternoon.

In the opposite corner, Sheffield United striker Oli McBurnie has ended his long goal drought in style with goals in his last two games.

After going 43 league appearances without scoring he'd love to make it three in three today.

  11. Team Newspublished at 14:52 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

Hull City v Sheff Utd (15:00 BST)

Hull City make three changes from the team that slipped to a 3-1 defeat at QPR. Skipper Lewie Coyle returns to the XI.

Sheffield United, perhaps unsurprisingly, name the same side that started the 4-0 win over Reading in midweek.

  12. Team Newspublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Huddersfield v Blackpool (15:00 BST)

Huddersfield make two changes as they bid to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat at Bristol City, with last season's 14-goal top scorer Danny Ward restored to the starting line-up.

On-loan Aston Villa wide man Kaine Kesler-Hayden also comes back into the XI.

Blackpool begin life without talisman Josh Bowler - signed by Nottingham Forest this week - and they have turned to on-loan Leeds youngster Ian Poveda for a creative spark as he makes his first start for the Tangerines.

  13. Act twopublished at 14:45 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

Huddersfield v Blackpool; Hull City v Sheff Utd (both 15:00 BST)

We said we'd be back, and here we are.

Very unusually we've got two games at 15:00 BST on a Sunday in the Championship today.

Huddersfield host Blackpool looking for just their second win of the season after last season's Championship play-off final defeat.

Meanwhile, about 71.3 miles away, Hull City welcome a Sheffield United side who will go back to the top of the table with a win.

Just 15 minutes until they both get under way so let's crack on.

  14. More still to comepublished at 14:00 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

We're taking a short break while we gear ourselves up for another two matches this afternoon.

Kicking off at 15:00 BST are Huddersfield v Blackpool and Hull City v Sheffield United, so don't go anywhere.

We'll be back with you shortly.

  15. 'Ince was inspirational'published at 13:54 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    FT: Reading 2-1 Stoke City

    Mick Gooding
Ex-Reading player/manager on BBC Radio Berkshire

Tom Ince was my man of the match, he was absolutely inspirational.

Lucas Joao scored two goals but Tom Ince has had once of the best games I have ever seen a Reading player have - he was everywhere and was unbelievable.

  16. FULL-TIMEpublished at 13:51 British Summer Time 4 September 2022

    Reading 2-1 Stoke City

Lucas Joao celebratesImage source, Rex Features

Two goals from birthday boy Lucas Joao sees Reading move up to second and continue their unbeaten record at home this season with a 2-1 win over Stoke.

Joao got his first inside the opening minute thanks to a Stoke defensive howler and while Stoke equalised before the break, Joao then added his second to take all three points for the Royals.

  17. Postpublished at 90+2 mins

    Reading 2-1 Stoke City

Another hairy moment for Jack Bonham in the Stoke goal as he scuffs his shot while clearing the goal line under pressure from Reading and sends it out for a throw in, much to the delight of the home fans.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 90+1 mins

    Reading 2-1 Stoke City

Reading look to see this match out as Tyrese Fornah makes way for Nesta Guinness-Walker for the final few minutes.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 90 mins

The referee isn't messing around today. Reading keeper Joe Lumley has been shown a yellow card for time wasting as we head into four minutes of added time.

  20. Postpublished at 89 mins

    Reading 2-1 Stoke City

The Reading defence is proving impenetrable at the moment.

Stoke push for an equaliser but every ball that comes into the Reading box seems to land on a Reading players' head and come straight back out.
