Rachel: Kane’s skill in all areas of the football pitch is astonishing - defending, pulling the strings in midfield, scoring and rifling in penalties no matter the pressure. He is a born leader off the pitch too & his worth to Spurs is immeasurable.

Antonio: That second Spurs goal was right on the money. Lovely play. Bissouma substitution made us so much sharper. I’ll take those three points thank you very much. Yup, room for improvement but a win is a win.

Dave: People going on about the amount of penalties scored by Kane skewing his record should really check the record books. Shearer scored 56 penalties. Does anyone consider him not world class? Surely the fact Kane scores so many of his penalties is a testament to his ability, not something to be used against him.

GOAL - Tottenham 2-0 Evertonpublished at 19:14 British Summer Time 15 October 2022

    Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (85 mins)

That is surely it for Everton.

Rodrigo Bentancur whips in a decent delivery from the right. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg controls it then curls it towards the right corner.

It takes a heavy deflection off Alex Iwobi and that takes it out of reach of Jordan Pickford.

Nicholas: Just because Spurs don't win by 4 or 5 doesn't make it boring. The technical/tactical ability on show is something 85/90% of teams in the league would love.

Glenn: Cannot understand the hate for Pickford, he’s been brilliant for EFC for the last 2 seasons and hardly lets a goal in for England. Best keeper we’ve got by a mile.

Spurs have got to do a bit more otherwise they are inviting Everton pressure. They should be going forward and looking for that second goal.

It's gone a bit scrappy. Everton haven't offered much to suggest they can get back into this, though Tottenham have dropped off a bit too.

Doherty is too late, he shouldn't even go in for that challenge. He's late. McNeil is lucky it wasn't worse than that.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin's presence offers something a little different for Everton. A cross comes in from the right and Calvert-Lewin almost gets there but it's well defended in the end.
