    Man Utd 0-0 Newcastle

Bruno Fernandes gets to a cross from Casemiro but, under pressure from Kieran Trippier, he can't get enough power behind his header and Nick Pope makes a comfortable catch.

  3. CLOSE!published at 14:41 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

    Leeds 0-0 Arsenal

The crowd had to wait a while for the football to get going but not for the first chance.

Luis Sinisterra drills it inches wide of the post!

  4. Postpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

    Man Utd 0-0 Newcastle

The Manchester United fans behind the Newcastle goal want a penalty as Nick Pope's save from Antony bounces up towards a Newcastle arm. Nothing from the referee, and nothing from VAR, though. That was a really good chance for Antony, but he couldn't beat Pope at his near post.

    Aston Villa 0-1 Chelsea

Looks like Graham Potter has had enough of Villa's dominance and has switched Ruben Loftus-Cheek to right wing-back instead of Raheem Sterling.

Playing Sterling at wing-back against RB Salzburg is one thing, playing it against Villa is another.

  6. KICK-OFF (X2)published at 14:40 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

    Leeds 0-0 Arsenal

We're ready to go! Leeds will get us going again from the throw-in.

    Deja vu.

  7. Postpublished at 14:39 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

    Southampton 1-0 West Ham

Gianluca Scamacca curls it into the box for Paqueta at the back post. He heads it down into the ground and it bounces up and inches beyond the far post. So close! Another very good chance for West Ham, who really should be level. Southampton have come close through Che Adams but have had to defend heavily this half.

  10. Postpublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

    Man Utd 0-0 Newcastle

Casemiro brings down Miguel Almiron as the Paraguayan nips in and threatens to break clear to the right of the Manchester United penalty area.

This is a chance. Kieran Trippier to take.

Referee Chris Kavanagh is testing the goalline technology again and each time he puts the ball over the line the crowd are cheering.

  12. CLOSE!published at 14:37 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

    Southampton 1-0 West Ham

From the corner, Jarrod Bowen gets it on the edge of the box but his shot is deflected by a wall of defenders.

It falls for Gianluca Scamacca and he almost puts it under the bar - again heavily deflected - but it loops dangerously over. Getting closer...

  13. Postpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

    Leeds 0-0 Arsenal

Looks like we're almost ready to go which is good news. Mikel Arteta takes his place in the dugout. The fans have just been thanked by the stadium announcer for their "patience."

"We'll hopefully be back under way in a few minutes", they say.

The officials are just having another little warm-up now too.

  14. 'Arrizabalaga has been brilliant'published at 14:36 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

    Aston Villa 0-1 Chelsea

    Alistair Magowan
    BBC Sport at Villa Park

No idea how Villa haven't got an equaliser here. In fact, I do, it's because of Kepa Arrizabalaga in the Chelsea goal. He has been brilliant.

Villa are getting lots of joy down the wings, and John McGinn has worked out there is loads of room down the left behind Chelsea's right wing-back Raheem Sterling.

That booking for Ben Chilwell won't help matters.

  15. Postpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

    Man Utd 0-0 Newcastle

Joelinton is down now after a collision with Antony among a series of tasty challenges.

It looks like the Newcastle man just got caught in the face as Antony ran away from him.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

    Aston Villa 0-1 Chelsea

Yellow card for Ben Chilwell, sliding in and catching Jacob Ramsey and the Chelsea man can't have any complaints.

  17. Postpublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

    Southampton 1-0 West Ham

Adam Armstrong comes crashing into Vladimir Coufal and is penalised. West Ham eventually win a corner on the far side.

  18. GREAT SAVE!published at 14:34 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

    Aston Villa 0-1 Chelsea

Chelsea have a chance for a second but Kai Havertz, after being set up by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, can only shoot weakly at Emiliano Martinez.

Villa instantly nearly make them pay down the other end. Leon Bailey's cross from the right is headed by Danny Ings but it is an athletic save from Kepa Arrizabalaga, who is having a storming game, to push it over the top and keep it at 0-1.
