I agree with every single part of the referee's decision except changing the red card to a yellow card.

Alisson takes his time in possession as Liverpool take control of the ball in the opening stages.

West Ham United

West Ham boss David Moyes, speaking to Match of the Day 2: "Hugely disappointed [not to take all three points]. But I have to say the team played well, we did a lot of good things, but the referee gets in the way and gives them a goal, which makes it doubly hard because we have to come from a goal down.

"He blocks Jarrod Bowen receiving the ball. I think he shouldn't have given the goal."

What did you say to the referee at the end? "I actually said what until he sees the penalty kick on Tomas Soucek, it was worse with the one that was given last week.

I actually think Bamford fouled Gabriel initially. That's incredible. Surely Bamford fouled him first.

Oh. HANG ON. The VAR official has told Chris Kavanagh to check the pitchside monitor as he thinks Patrick Bamford has fouled Gabriel first.

And a penalty to Leeds!

Gabriel has been sent off! He's adjudged to have kicked out at Patrick Bamford after a shove in the box. The assistant referee saw it and has informed Chris Kavanagh.

It's a great atmosphere at Anfield, as you'd expect ahead of such a huge match.

Liverpool will start the game 12th in the table, and in a few minutes they could be 17 points behind leaders Arsenal. Of course, Manchester City have a gap to close too...

You can't do anything more than Leeds have done other than score. They've done everything right, they've been the better team in the second half, played with great energy and skill but they just haven't been able to score.

Chelsea

Chelsea manager Graham Potter, speaking to Sky Sports, says: "It was a tough game. Astron Villa made us suffer, especially in the first half even though we took the lead. They put us under pressure and our goalkeeper made some good saves.

"It's important coming back from the Champions League game to respond. Am delighted for the players and it's a big three points for us. They have good players, the crowd gets involved in the game.

"Results are important and it's relentless, that's how we have to manage the players and the squad."

"We believe in Mason Mount a lot. We love him as a player and he is a great guy. You can see the influence he has on the team and he works really hard for us.

On Kepa Arrizabalaga's form: "It was a world-class performance, especially in the first half. I'm really pleased for him, he has had a tough period for us at times but he contributed to the game."
