There is certainly work for Arsenal to do now. The home support are buzzing after Joey Veerman's opener.

As it stands, PSV will be two points behind Arsenal going into the final round of fixtures.

Long way to go yet, of course.

Paul: PSV deserve that goal! We have been rubbish. Arteta needs to change this somehow.

    Joey Veerman

    The Philips Stadion erupts!

This goal will stand - and what a finish it is!

Luuk de Jong lays the ball off to Joey Veerman on the edge of the box. The 23-year-old bring it under control and unleashes a thunderous strike that leaves Aaron Ramsdale with no chance.

It came just moments after Ramsdale had brilliantly denied De Jong too.

The two PSV goals ruled out weren't marginal for the standard this season. No lines were needed to see both players were offside. The Arsenal defence have been holding a good line! Great work but need to improve in attack!

    PSV 0-0 Arsenal

The TV cameras show Gabriel Jesus, arms folded, on the bench. He doesn't look too thrilled about not looking involved...

When, if at all, will Mikel Arteta decide he's needed tonight?

  6. Ronaldo returns for Man Utdpublished at 18:54 British Summer Time 27 October 2022

Man Utd v Sheriff Tiraspol (20:00 BST)

Cristiano Ronaldo returns to the Manchester United starting line-up tonight after being stood down for a game by manager Erik ten Hag for refusing to come on as a substitute against Tottenham last week.

Eighteen-year-old Argentina youth international Alejandro Garnacho is handed his full debut.

Victor Lindelof partners Lisandro Martinez in central defence as Raphael Varane is injured.

Tyrell Malacia replaces Luke Shaw at left-back, whilst Harry Maguire and Donny van de Beek are on the bench after recent injuries.

Man Utd XI: De Gea, Dalot, Lindelof, Martinez, Malacia, Casemiro, Eriksen, Antony, Fernandes, Garnacho, Ronaldo.

Sheriff's new boss Victor Mihailov makes four changes to the side that lost 3-0 at Real Sociedad last week.

Keeper Maksym Koval and Nigerian forward Iyayi Atiemwen, who was a handful for United in Moldova, are among those players who return.

Sheriff XI: Koval, Renan Guedes, Kiki, Radeljic, Kpozo, Diop, Kyabou, Mudasiru, Badolo, Akanbi, Atiemwen.

    PSV 0-0 Arsenal

A couple of minutes of calm after a quick start.

Let's hear a bit more about that Manchester United team news...

  8. CLOSE!published at 49 mins

    PSV 0-0 Arsenal

It's a chance a minute in the second half!

This time it's PSV who create an opening, a bit too easily from Arsenal's perspective, but Aaron Ramsdale makes a great double stop to deny Xavi Simons and then Joey Veerman.

  9. CLOSE!published at 48 mins

    PSV 0-0 Arsenal

This is a really bright start to the second period from Arsenal.

Kieran Tierney brings the ball down the left and he's able to create space for a shot, but he bends his attempt narrowly over the bar.

  10. CLOSE!published at 46 mins

    PSV 0-0 Arsenal

An early corner for Arsenal comes to nothing, but PSV can't get the ball clear and Eddie Nketiah smashes a low first-time strike just wide. Good effort!

  11. KICK-OFFpublished at 18:48 British Summer Time 27 October 2022

    HT: PSV 0-0 Arsenal

We're under way again in Eindhoven.

Luuk de Jong is on for PSV for the second half, with Anwar El Ghazi making way.

  12. Breaking team news - Ronaldo starts, Maguire on the benchpublished at 18:47 British Summer Time 27 October 2022

Manchester United v Sheriff Tiraspol (20:00 BST)

The teamsheets have dropped at OT.

Cristiano Ronaldo starts for Manchester United after being forgiven for his recent strop, while Harry Maguire is back on the bench after injury.

Teenage forward Alejandro Garnacho also makes his first start for the club.

  13. What do West Ham need?published at 18:47 British Summer Time 27 October 2022

West Ham v Silkeborg (20:00 BST)

West Ham are already guaranteed to progress from Europa Conference League Group B after winning all four games so far.

They require one point in their remaining two games - against second-placed Silkeborg or FCSB - to top the group.

Doing so would ensure they avoid having to play a knockout round play-off tie to qualify for the last 16.

  14. Hammers make nine changespublished at 18:45 British Summer Time 27 October 2022

West Ham v Silkeborg (20:00 BST)

West Ham manager David Moyes makes the full use of his squad tonight, with nine changes to his starting XI from Monday's win over Bournemouth.

Defender Ben Johnson and forward Said Benrahma are the only two to retain their spots.

As we told you a few moments ago, Morocco left-back Nayef Aguerd makes his long-awaited debut.

Young midfielder Connor Coventry also makes a rare start, although Maxwel Cornet, Craig Dawson and Lucas Paqueta are all still unavailable.

Dave: Once again Arsenal have no answer to 10 behind the ball. No 'big lad' to cross it into since Giroud. Much like Southgate's England. Pass. Pass. Backwards. Crab passing. Mistake or pressured and concede. Why Arsenal didn't get another striker in the summer I don't know. Nketiah just not good enough for me.

Sultan: Our squad is not complete, if we want to at least be in the top 4 and compete for Europa League, we need more additions to our team. A strong ST, a strong DMF and a versatile defender who can play across the backline.

Nick: Are we living on the edge or just playing offside effectively? I'm not sure.

I'm still not quite sure how Xavi Simons managed to get away from four Arsenal players to put the ball in the net.

It ultimately didn't matter, with Arsenal's high line doing the job.

It's up top where Arsenal are falling a bit short so far, but Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka are waiting on the bench if required.

West Ham left-back Nayef Aguerd finally makes his debut for David Moyes' side after an ankle injury.

Morocco international Aguerd, who joined the Hammers from Rennes for £30m in June, has not featured since picking up the injury in a pre-season game against Rangers.

Cody Gakpo and Xavi Simons have both had the ball in the net for PSV.

But Arsenal go in at half-time level, and Mikel Arteta's side currently have the point they need to reach the last-16 as group winners.

Wow. Two marginal offside decisions following two quality and probably deserved finishes. Arsenal need to wake up, and get the job done! COYG.

  20. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:32 British Summer Time 27 October 2022

    PSV 0-0 Arsenal

One minute of added time to come at the end of the first half.

    And Martin Odegaard is in!

    Saved!

A big chance for the Arsenal skipper right at the end of the half. What a frantic finish to the opening 45 minutes that was.
