Play is eventually brought back as Foord is offside, but that was more intent by the hosts.

Kaylan Marckese is warming up, but the Austrian continues for now.

Nikita Parris seems to smash the ball high into stands, but she's awarded a corner.

It's wasted by the visitors and Manuela Zinsberger collects the ball before asking for medical attention.

It's a chance for Arsenal to regroup and receive instruction from the sidelines.

Every time an Arsenal players gets on the ball, they've got no time to get control of it and look for their options - United are swarming around them. When it's going in the other direction United have a lot more time to pick out a pass.

Pass, pass, pass.

The lime green shirts build from the back and probe forward into Arsenal territory.

Nothing opens up so they retreat and move the ball the other way. United are playing like the home team so far.

Opening quarter of the game, and it is still to spark properly into life.

Zinsberger has had to make the only save of the game so far, and Arsenal's primary tactic seems to be long balls for Blackstenius to chase.

The Arsenal front three are doing plenty of work, the crowd oohing as Mary Earps is put under pressure while playing out from the back.

The ball is floated into the Arsenal box and Manuela Zinsberger is quickly off her line but it's a poor punch clear and the ball doesn't travel very far from the danger.

Luckily for the hosts Jordan Nobbs is on hand to hook it clear.

The bright green shirts being worn by the visitors are blending in to the immaculate Emirates turf.

I'm not sure that's an excuse for why the Arsenal players aren't picking them up, but Arsenal have been off the pace early on.

The visitors are happy to keep the ball for now.

For United, first and foremost, they're looking to get back on track after the disappointment of the Chelsea match and keep in the hunt for the top two.

Arsenal will want to cement themselves at the top of the pile. It's a good game so far - neither side is giving anything up at the moment.

"Arsenal, Arsenal, Arsenal."

The home fans recognise their players are yet to find their groove and urge them forward.

Stina Blackstenius is fed the ball down the side but Maya Le Tissier gets the better of her and clears the danger.

United have settled into their rhythm now after that chance for Leah Galton.

Arsenal are chasing shadows momentarily.

That was excellent by Manchester United. That's the sort of counter attack they are going to need tonight - make the most of the ball when they have it.

Nikita Parris is brought down but play is waved on as Alessia Russo latches on to the loose ball and finds Leah Galton.

The forward just can't get the ball out of her feet and the chance disappears but that was a slick counter by the visitors.

There's not much better than a big game in a big stadium with a big crowd, under the floodlights, in crisp winter weather - and that is exactly what we have here.

Arsenal have had the early territory, and the home fans shrieked with delight when Stina Blackstenius looked to have been set free with a long ball from the back - but she was flagged offside.

Certainly a feeling of expectation from the home crowd too. Six wins from six creates that.

It's been a stop/start opening to this game. Neither side are yet to take control of the contest.

Beth Mead is certainly in the hearts of the Arsenal faithful.

The loudest cheer of the night so far is a warm reception for their hero as she makes her way to the far side to take a corner.

It's a cagey start from both sides as they look to settle on the ball. There's a lot at stake under the lights.

The lower tier of the stands at Emirates Stadium are pretty much full. The upper tier is almost empty.

It won't be a record crowd, but will be close to the 35,000 hoped for after ticket sales.
