Chloe Kelly deserves a goal for her performance this afternoon but it continues to evade her.

She beats her marker with ease but her shot is wide.

    What just happened?

First Laura Coombs' shot is cleared off the line. Then Julie Blakstad's looping cross is palmed onto her own post by Emily Ramsey and back into the danger zone.

Everton smash the ball up into the sky and Chloe Kelly tries a bicycle kick towards goal, which Blakstad heads onto the bar.

The hosts finally clear their lines but that was a moment of madness in the goalmouth and somehow they survived.

This game has just sparked into life.

The ball is nudged past the onrushing City keeper Sandy MacIver and the goal is gaping, but Laia Aleixandri is on hand to clear the ball.

Then Chloe Kelly sets off down the other end and gets a shot off, which is straight at Emily Ramsey.

    End to end.

That chance was Khadija Shaw's fourth of the game, which is the most of any player on the pitch.

Unsurprising really as I keep typing her name out.

That would have made it tough for Everton to come back.

The ball is delivered to the Everton box from Chloe Kelly's corner and Khadija Shaw rises highest but she cannot direct her header on target.

    Too easy.

Everton make a hash of things as they fail to clear their lines from a goalkick.

City win it back and Laura Coombs fires a looping effort, which beats Emily Ramsey and comes back off the post and into the path of Khadija Shaw.

The forward taps in and City regain the lead.

Arsenal v Manchester United (17.30 GMT)

    Emma Smith
    BBC Sport at Emirates Stadium

This is the second of three WSL games to be staged at the Emirates this season. Back in September a record 47,367 crowd saw the Gunners beat their North London rivals Tottenham 4-0.

We are not expecting to beat that record today, with around 35,000 tickets sold. However with no men's club games this weekend, it is a real opportunity for the women to shine.

Arsenal have been supreme in the WSL so far this season.

They have a perfect record with six wins from six games and 17 goals scored and just one conceded.

Can Manchester United be the first team to take anything off the three-time WSL winners later today?

    HT: Everton 1-1 Man City

    Jess Anderson
BBC Sport at Walton Hall Park

I think Manchester City will be probably be disappointed with that, they will think they should be ahead.

Everton have defended solidly and it was one bit of scrappy play that led to the Toffee's equaliser.

City have had the better of the chances with Bunny Shaw and Julie Blakstad both coming close to extending that lead.

We go again in the second half.
