Aston Villa have been excellent and they thoroughly deserve this. Anyone who has just switched on the radio and started listening to us, don't think this is a fluke score line.

Villa have deserved this, Manchester United's goal was a very fluky goal but other than that Villa have been excellent and could probably of scored more goals.

Another ruthlessly brilliant display from Newcastle, who continue to convince that a top-four finish is very much on the cards.

Southampton are booed off. You fear for Ralph Hasenhuttl.

Aston Villa fans are taking great delight in teasing Cristiano Ronaldo as the Manchester United forward throws his hands in the air when a decision doesn't go his way.

But could that come back to bite them with six additional minutes announced? That prompted a few audible gasps from the home fans.

    Bedlam in the away end!

Michael Olise has surely won it for Palace with a looping finish over the keeper deep into stoppage time.

    Bruno Guimaraes

    Icing on the cake!

This is just lovely. Newcastle ensure they have the final word as Bruno Guimaraes is set up by Allan Saint-Maximin just outside the box to curl a brilliant shot past the diving Gavin Bazunu and into the far corner.

Saints hit for four for two games running. The heat under Ralph Hasenhuttl cranked up another notch.

Manchester United miss Bruno Fernandes. They miss that creative spark. They miss that someone who play that incisive pass and that's why they've struggled in that final third.

    Romain Perraud

Saints have a consolation, and a lovely one too!

Romain Perraud finds acres of space in behind the Newcastle defence on the left. He still has to work to do, but boy does he do it, cutting inside the sliding Dan Burn before finding the top far corner with a right-foot shot.

Manchester United have been enjoying a decent spell but Aston Villa are keeping their shape well and not really giving their opponents a sniff.

We're into the final 10 minutes but the home fans are chanting loudly and sense the job is done.

On this showing, it isn't going to be long before Villa supporters can stop looking over their shoulders and instead focus on looking up the table.

    A near perfect home performance.
