This defeat means Saints stay in the bottom three on 12 points, a point and place worse off than Bournemouth.

Aston Villa have been excellent and they thoroughly deserve this. Anyone who has just switched on the radio and started listening to us, don't think this is a fluke score line.
Villa have deserved this, Manchester United's goal was a very fluky goal but other than that Villa have been excellent and could probably of scored more goals.
