    Man Utd 0-0 Burnley

Manchester United are sitting off, trying to lure Burnley in and then pounce quickly on the counter.

But the Clarets have shown they are dangerous with the ball and Casemiro is needed to intercept in the home box before Josh Brownhill arrives on the scene.

Then a wayward pump upfield from United - which goes out of play - is met by jeers from the away end.

We're midway through the first half at Old Trafford.

    Blackburn 0-1 Nottingham Forest

George Hirst with a bright 60-yard run for Blackburn and his cross is diverted behind for a corner.

It is played short and fizzed in by Sammie Szmodics, it comes off Forest's Harry Toffolo and Dean Henderson in the away goal has to show some great reactions to avoid an own goal.

    Better from the hosts though.

Cracking contest this. Very easy on the eye.

Burnley aren't afraid to control the game and hold onto possession, but pressing quickly when they don't have the ball.

United look sharp when they try to attack quickly.

Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

The problem with Alejandro Garnacho is that he only wants to use his right foot, so he was stretching for the ball there, rather than using his left foot to control the ball. You need to be able to use both your feet at all times.

    Man Utd 0-0 Burnley

Alejandro Garnacho is quick. So quick he can't keep his feet as he bursts clear on a counter attack for Manchester United.

A heavy touch sees the ball goes out for a goal-kick and the chances goes begging.

"What the heck is that?" Burnley's 7,000 or so fans ask the United teenager.

    Well, words to that effect.

    Blackburn 0-1 Nottingham Forest

It's been a tough opening for 21-year-old Blackburn left-back Clinton Mola, who is having a nightmare time trying to deal with Brennan Johnson.

Jesse Lingard volleys at goal from a poor Mola clearance but the effort is well off target.

Manchester United's singing section has given its first rendition of 'We want Glazers out'.

They have been singing that for a few years at Old Trafford, 2005 to be exact when the American family first bought the club.

This is the first game at Old Trafford since the Glazers said selling the club was one of the options open to them as they assess 'strategic alternatives' for their ownership.

    Man Utd 0-0 Burnley

    All Manchester United now.

Another home corner goes short and it confuses the Burnley defence.

Skipper Jack Cork unconvincingly flicks back towards his own goal but a United toe can't reach the ball and it goes out for another corner.

Victor Lindelof is unable to direct the next set-piece on target. Burnley off the hook.

Alejandro Garnacho was just stretching for the ball, like it had got a yard or so in front of him. It meant he couldn't lift it, and could only toe-poke it with no real power.

    It was an important save.

    Charlton 0-0 Brighton

Jack Payne tries his luck with a firmly-hit drive from the edge of the box. A yard either side of Brighton keeper Jason Steele and that could've been interesting.

Albion are in control of possession but are struggling to break down League One Charlton.

    Man Utd 0-0 Burnley

    Ah, we cursed Burnley.

Defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis - on loan from Manchester City - sloppily passes straight out to Bruno Fernandes who slips in a pass to Alejandro Garnacho.

The teenage striker stays composed and looks to bury into the bottom corner, but a combination of Burnley keeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell and his defence stop the ball hitting the net.

The home fans are well into the Christmas spirit, loudly belting out their favourite carol: 12 days of Cantona.

But they aren't going to get any presents from Burnley.

Vincent Kompany's side look in great nick, confidently playing the ball around and dominating possession.
