Brennan Johnson leads a counter-attack after an error from Blackburn defender Scott Wharton. Johnson goes for goal but, under pressure from a challenge by Jake Garrett, sends it wide.

We haven't got VAR tonight, if we had Garrett may well have conceded a penalty then as he slid in and caught the Wales international as he shot at goal.

For those who haven't watched much of Burnley this season, Manuel Benson is a lively player. Now he's starting to strut his stuff on a very big stage.

The Belgian winger cuts in from the right and pings a left-foot shot which Martin Dubravka has to push wide.

From the resulting set-piece, Dubravka goes walkabout and tips the cross back to his own goal.

Casemiro comes to the rescue to hook clear before the ball goes in.

Forest's Neco Williams does well to get in the way from Lewis Travis' cross to stop it reaching Clinton Mola.

But Blackburn come again and Ryan Hedges then crosses from a decent position but Dean Henderson is there to wipe out the danger.

Two minutes are added at the Valley before the half-time whistle goes. An entertaining game, with Brighton bossing possession, yet the hosts have had two shots on target to just one for the Premier League visitors, although Adam Lallana had a shot which clipped the Charlton crossbar.

Burnley, for all their good work, have not yet managed a shot on target.

Still, they stick to their principles and retain the belief they will get a chance.

One is created by Manuel Benson - who scored twice against Middlesbrough at the weekend - when he twists and turns Victor Lindelof before shooting into the side-netting.

Blackburn's Clinton Mola gives it away with poor control and Forest almost capitalise but Taiwo Awoniyi glances a header wide from Neco Williams' cross with Jesse Lingard then just unable to get on the end of it.

What response will Burnley show? A good one. They instantly go in search of an equaliser with Manuel Benson doing some good work down the right, but Scott McTominay is back inside his box to boot clear.

Moments later, Anthony Martial has a pop from distance but it is comfortable for Bailey Peacock-Farrell to gather.

Billy Gilmour and Levi Colwill have not exactly made the most of their opportunity so far tonight, but Gilmour has just found Colwill in the Charlton box following an Albion corner and Ashley Maynard-Brewer dives to his left to palm away Colwill's shot.

That was sensational. The whole move was about two minutes long.

Burnley tried to press United at the other end of the pitch but they played out and they got Bruno Fernandes into a wonderful position.

Burnley got numbers behind the ball but United were patient and used the width.

It was a really late run from Aaron Wan-Bissaka and it was a beautiful ball to him from Fernandes.

It is a fantastic goal.

Charlton aren't just frustrating Brighton, they're having some joy themselves.

Steven Sessegnon gets into the Seagulls' box before Brighton captain Lewis Dunk makes a timely lunge to block Sessegnon's goalbound strike.

Ryan Yates heads at goal but it is wide from the Forest man. Steve Cooper's men are in complete control but may be starting to get frustrated that they haven't got a second goal yet. Blackburn 1-0 down and hanging on, desperately trying to not let it get any worse.

Manchester United enjoy a period of pressure in the Burnley half, patiently looking to pick the lock.

It's another attack down the Forest right wing this time Brennan Johnson feeds the overlapping Neco Williams. It is turned behind for a corner with Ashley Phillips then blocking a Forest shot.
