Derby County 3-0 Accrington Stanley: It's all one-way-traffic at Pride Park. Tom Barkhuizen, Conor Hourihane and David McGoldrick all on the score sheet. The third coming from the penalty spot in the closing moments of the first half following a handball in the box by an Accrington defender.

Barnsley 0-2 Bolton Wanderers: We said it was going to be hard for the home side after Mads Andersen was sent off in the 11th minute for a foul in the box and it's proving to be true so far. The visitors comfortably ahead at the half.

Lincoln City 0-0 Ipswich Town: Lincoln City are down to 10 men after Adam Jackson was sent off just before the break. The Tractor Boys with the best chance of the game so far after hitting the cross bar in a slightly chaotic series of shots and blocks from close range.

Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 Cambridge United: This was always going to be a struggle for the visitors who have 10 first team players out injured. The Owls well on top.

    Ian Clarkson
Ex-Birmingham captain on BBC Radio WM

It's been an improved first-half performance from Birmingham compared to Friday. In the last 10 minutes they started to offer some attacking threat.

    Stoke 0-0 Preston

Preston's Alan Browne goes close from a free-kick in a central area, then Stoke somehow fail to score from a goalmouth scramble. Still goalless.

Away from the action at the Bet365 Stadium - before today's match, BBC Radio Stoke's long-time commentator Nigel Johnson announced he will be putting down his microphone for the final time at the end of this season, after more than half a century with the station.

Best wishes and happy retirement, Nigel!

    HT: West Brom 0-0 Reading

    Rob Gurney
    BBC Radio WM Sport

In the first 15 minutes West Brom could have been three goals clear.

The crowd have been trying to urge the team on and Carlos Corberan will no doubt look to tweak a couple of things at half-time to make sure Albion go on and win this game, kicking towards the Birmingham Road end in the second half as they love to do.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:54 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

    Norwich 0-0 Watford

Norwich v WatfordImage source, PA Media

It was a half which Watford grasped early on, making headway through the impressive Keinan Davis and Ismaila Sarr, but Norwich showed character and quality to impose themselves as the 45 wore on.

Granted, it wasn't shot after shot after shot. But it was lively, entertaining and played at pace.

    Same again, please.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:54 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

    Birmingham 0-0 Middlesbrough

Birmingham were stretched at times in the first-half by some smart football from Middlesbrough, but impressively were not breached.

The Blues have shown mettle and stubbornness, and had a chance of their own through ex-Boro forward Lukas Jutkiewicz.

Boro's best chances fell to Riley McGree, but he's been unable to punish his former employers.

    Stoke 0-0 Preston

A reminder that Stoke v Preston kicked off 15 minutes later than scheduled because of traffic problems, so there are still 10 minutes to go in the first half there.

The home side have been the better of the two teams, but have so far been unable to break the deadlock.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

    Wigan 0-1 Hull

Hull have the half-time advantage at the DW against the division's bottom side, after a Jacob Greaves strike part way through the opening 45.

Wigan have only shown glimpses of their threat, while Hull have had some useful set-pieces but have been unable to add to the lead.

    Swansea 1-2 Burnley

Ian Maatsen celebratesImage source, PA Media

The Championship leaders raced into a 2-0 lead with an Ian Maatsen double, both goals coming from outside the box.

But Swansea have responded well, pulling one back through Ollie Cooper and having the better of things since then.

Vincent Kompany's men are in good shape to make it six straight league wins, but it's far from cut and dried.

  12. Postpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

    Birmingham 0-0 Middlesbrough

Lukas Jutkiewicz swivels in the Boro box and fires over for Birmingham, in a rare but welcome chance.

At the other end, Matt Crooks fluffs a fancy-dan near post effort, and the ball is eventually soaked up by the Blues.

  13. Postpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

    West Brom 0-0 Reading

Daryl Dike is finding himself in the thick of the action at The Hawthorns, getting in decent positions but being unable to beat Joe Lumley in the Reading goal.

The American striker had a difficult first year with the Baggies, managing just one goal for Albion in an injury-affected 2022.

  14. Postpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

    Norwich 0-0 Watford

Teemu Pukki is staggering around holding his back which is a concern to Norwich caretaker boss Allan Russell.

The Canaries striker has been such a key figure for many a year.

Equally as concerning is Grant Hanley finding himself in the book with a yellow card for dragging back Ismaila Sarr.

Watford fail to deliver with the set-piece. We go again.

  15. League Two updatepublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

    #bbcefl

A quiet start in League Two as we creep toward half-time.

Barrow 0-0 Rochdale: Rochdale are desperate for points and they're holding their own early on in this game.

Newport County 0-1 Crawley Town: Both sides entered this match in need of some consistency and positive play. It's been a half of few chances so far but former Newport County striker Dom Telford has put the visitors ahead after firing home from close range.

Northampton Town 0-0 Leyton Orient: The hosts with probably the best chance of the game so far. Josh Eppiyah's low strike lands for Mitchell Pinnock in front of the net but he skies it.

Stevenage 1-0 Gillingham: The hosts comfortably ahead in this one thanks to a strike by Carl Piergianni on the 23rd minute.

    Swansea 1-2 Burnley

Swansea go close to an equaliser just before half-time against the league leaders.

Ollie Cooper fires wide from inside the box as the hosts, who were 2-0 down after 22 minutes, look to restore parity.

  17. Postpublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

    Wigan 0-1 Hull

Greg Doherty fancied himself a little bit of crystal for the mantlepiece a moment ago, as a rocket of a volley from a half-cleared corner went close to nestling in the Wigan net.

The Scot just didn't quite get it on target.

Watford get in down the right through substitute Vakoun Bayo, and his cross is met at the far-stick by Christian Kabasele, but the header is guided wide.

    Still goalless, still open.

Preston are forced into an early substitution at Stoke, with striker Emil Riis going off with a knock and former Liverpool man Ben Woodburn on to replace him.

  20. Postpublished at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

    Birmingham 0-0 Middlesbrough

John Ruddy is in the right place for Birmingham to make a comfortable save from ex-Blues midfielder Riley McGree.

If McGree is unpopular with the home support, then oppositely, Blues sub George Friend is a huge favourite with the visiting contingent.

He's had to come on to replace Marc Roberts.
