    Portsmouth are 12th in League One, nine points off the play-off places, after a run of one win in 14 outings.

    “We are desperately disappointed that, following our recent run of results, we have today made the difficult decision to part company with Danny and Nicky," chief executive Andrew Cullen told the club website.

    “We must now look forward and with 24 league games still to play, we will focus all our efforts towards delivering the targets we set for this season.

    "The search for a new coaching team will commence immediately.”

    If you thought the Bank Holiday Monday action was over... League One Portsmouth have just sacked manager Danny Cowley.

    The decision comes after Sunday's 3-1 home defeat by Charlton Athletic extended their winless run to nine league matches.

    Cowley's assistant, his brother Nicky, has also departed Fratton Park.

    QPR end a run of four straight defeats at home.

    But this might feel like another loss after conceding to practically the last kick of the game.

    But it was a much-improved display from the Rs after a poor showing in their 3-0 defeat by Luton last Thursday.

    Sheffield United get their equaliser in added time in added time.

    John Egan - whose mistake led to the QPR opener - is the man who has secured what will surely be a point for the Blades!

    The visitors keep chipping away and Billy Sharp sets up a crossing opportunity on the left hand side of the box.

    The initial ball is cleared but the ball is headed back into the middle by Enda Stevens and Egan is on hand to sweep it goalwards.

    It deflects in off a QPR defender, but he won't care about that.
