Things are looking pretty rosy for Vincent Kompany and Burnley right now.

Friday's victory at Stoke made it five successive league wins for the Clarets, who are three points clear of second-placed Sheffield United. Perhaps more importantly, they're 11 ahead of Blackburn in third, with a game in hand to be played at Swansea today.

Swansea thrashed Watford 4-0 on Friday, having failed to win any of their previous eight games in the Championship.

Remember when West Bromwich Albion were languishing in the Championship's relegation zone? It wasn't that long ago, only three weeks ago in fact.

But the Baggies' resurgence under Carlos Corberan shows no sign of slowing and they begin today's fixtures just three points off the top six.

They go in search of an eighth win in nine matches against a Reading team that has won two of their four league games since the World Cup break.

Royals manager Paul Ince used to be captain of Wolves, so I'm sure he'll get a warm reception at The Hawthorns...

Bradley Dack scored the only goal as third-placed Blackburn defeated Cardiff, while the other two games - Coventry v Bristol City and Blackpool v Sunderland - ended 1-1.
