  1. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 15:37 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

    Norwich 0-0 Watford

Norwich think they've scored after a wonderful swirling back-post cross was powered in by big centre-half Grant Hanley.

However, the Scotland stopper is offside when the ball comes in and it won't count.

    West Brom 0-0 Reading

After all of West Brom's early dominance, Reading come close to the opener at The Hawthorns.

A low left-wing cross finds Junior Hoilett, whose shot from 12 yards is saved by Alex Palmer.

  3. Postpublished at 15:34 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

    Norwich 0-0 Watford

Norwich are enjoying their purple patch in this one as Marcelino Nunez gallops down the right and swings in a cross which just flies over the head of Josh Sargent.

Liam Gibbs goes into a bruising 50-50 in midfeld and comes away with the ball, but it goes unpunished. Definitely looked one to make you wince.

Watford's attempt to break is a good one, as Keinan Davis moves forward with purpose, but a cross is blocked and Norwich hoist clear.

  4. League One updatepublished at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

Let's go around the grounds in League One where a couple of teams haven't wasted any time finding the back of the net.

Derby County 2-0 Accrington Stanley: The Rams have been knifing through the Accrington Stanley defence like a hot knife through butter. Both Tom Barkhuizen and Conor Hourihane on the score sheet within 20 minutes.

Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 Cambridge United: The Owls have been putting Cambridge to the sword. Josh Windass started the scoring on the seventh minute before Michael Smith scored from the spot for his 10th goal of the season. Cambridge's high line is being shredded early and they are in real trouble.

Barnsley 0-1 Bolton Wanderers: Dion Charles put the visitors ahead from the penalty spot on the 11th minute after he was taken-out by Mads Anderson who was shown a straight red for his trouble. Not a great start from Barnsley who now have to try and get back into this one with 10 men.

Lincoln City 0-0 Ipswich Town:Not much to report from this one. Both sides still feeling each other out so it seems. Perhaps the Tractor Boys are playing it safe after falling to Lincoln City earlier in the season?

    Stoke 0-0 Preston

Stoke manager Alex Neil is coming up against his former club today.

It's still goalless between the Potters and Preston, with only half-chances to speak of so far.

That kick-off was delayed by 15 minutes because of traffic problems, so still in the early stages there.

  6. Goals? We shouldn't be surprisedpublished at 15:31 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

    Swansea 1-2 Burnley

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at the Swansea.com Stadium

Burnley have scored more goals - it is 52 now - than any other team in the Championship this season.

Swansea's tally of 35 - before kick-off today - was only bettered by four sides in the second tier.

Russell Martin's team, meanwhile, had conceded more goals than all but five Championship clubs before this game started, so it never looked like being a drab goalless draw.

So far, it has been great to watch, with Ian Maatsen's two long-range efforts putting Burnley in charge only for Ollie Cooper's response to give Swansea hope.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:30 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

    Norwich 0-0 Watford

Watford are down to 10 temporarily while Samuel Kalu is withdrawn through injury.

Eventually the change is made and Vakoun Bayo is on.

    Ian Clarkson
Ex-Birmingham captain on BBC Radio WM

Blues look a little short of confidence. They are working really hard but they don't look like a goal threat.

  9. Postpublished at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

    Norwich 0-0 Watford

Norwich haven't had too many sights of the Watford goal but they've just missed a golden chance here.

A free-kick in midfield was turned out to the right and Liam Gibbs sweeps in a cross that Ben Gibson attacks but somehow misses.

All he had to do was prod it goalward and the Canaries might have nicked an unlikely lead.

    Birmingham 0-0 Middlesbrough

Boro are hammering away on the Birmingham goal but are just unable to prise the lead so far.

Marcus Forss and Ryan Giles have supplied the ammo with crosses for Chuba Akpom, who just can't quite connect to full effect.

  12. Postpublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

    Swansea 0-2 Burnley

    Ross Heaton
    BBC Radio Lancashire

It has been quite an opening 23 minutes for Ian Maatsen, the loanee from Chelsea. Burnley have goal threats all over the pitch.

It's a terrific position to be in when any player can contribute to the goal scoring.

Ian Maatsen is having a delightful start to 2023!

Midway through the first half in south Wales, the Burnley left-back has two goals against Swansea.

Maatsen tries his luck from 20 yards after a good run from Nathan Tella and it goes straight through the Swansea goalkeeper into the roof of the net.

A long way back for the hosts now.

  14. Postpublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

    Norwich 0-0 Watford

Another chance for Watford, as Keinan Davis just brushes aside his opponent and drives into the box down the left, and pulls it back perfectly, but the shot from the cut-back by Ismaila Sarr is blocked at point-blank range.

Davis is on one today. Rampant.

  15. goal

GOAL: Wigan 0-1 Hullpublished at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

    Jacob Greaves (15 mins)

Hull City take the lead at the DW and it's all down to a set-piece which again caused problems.

It was deep to the back-post and met by Jacob Greaves, whose header was blocked.

The ball was toed back to him and a first-time drive arrowed into the roof of the net to give the Tigers the advantage.

  16. KICK-OFFpublished at 15:17 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

Watford are really pressing Norwich, forcing turnovers and building on the back of it.

Keinan Davis has another pop, this time from the edge of the box, as he swings a curler just wide of the left upright.

Angus Gunn was pretty much beaten all ends up.
