Very professional from Man City. They missed some good chances in both halves. Leeds rallied a little bit when they got that goal but City were never under much threat. It was a very good professional performance from them.

As far as Erling Haaland is concerned, it's very much back to business as usual despite his quiet World Cup break...

Manchester City reduce Arsenal's lead back to five points on their Premier League return, thanks to Rodri's opener in first-half stoppage-time and Erling Haaland's second-half double.

Pep Guardiola said this was far from an ideal first match for his side as they resumed their Premier League campaign, and you can see why with Leeds' players chasing down everything until the final whistle - regardless of the scoreline.

Fortunately for Guardiola, his side have made their superior quality in attack tell this evening and they're heading back up to second.

Cole Palmer has a go, then Joao Cancelo, then Erling Haaland, but each time there's a white shirt in the way. Good defending. Jesse Marsch will be pleased to see his side going right until the end here.

Leeds still believe they can get something out of this game.

It could go the other way: you could see City catching them on the counter-attack, as well.

To put that into context, that would have been enough for at least a share of the Premier League's golden boot in five seasons.

In the last four seasons, no-one has scored more than 23.
