    Aston Villa 1-1 Arsenal

Bukayo Saka's goal was his ninth this season, more than any other Arsenal player has scored in the Premier League.

Only Erling Haaland (30) and Harry Kane (18) have been involved in more Premier League goals this season than Saka (17).

    Pivotal to Arsenal's title hopes.

Matty: When the team is struggling, you need your star boy. What a hit, Bukayo.

    Adam: Great strike from Saka!

DT: Why isn’t Mings heading that ball out for a corner instead of back into danger?

Unai Emery motions for his players to keep calm after that equaliser. Arsenal are looking so much more confident now as Oleksandr Zinchenko tries his luck from distance. It is well hit, but straight at Emiliano Martinez.

    Sensational finish!

Ben White clips the ball into the box, Tyrone Mings - moments after a brilliant piece of defending - heads the ball straight to the feet of Bukayo Saka, who then drives a fantastic strike into the top corner.

Just what Arsenal needed, can they now push on?

The wheels have definitely come off for Arsenal. The players are exhausted and no depth in the team to swap players around.

Something very Spursy about recent Arsenal performances.

Chris: Well Emery knew how to cause pain for Arsenal. Doing it again.

CM: Ah good. Arsenal are back to their former selves. That was a scary few months we had. I feel better now. Conceding in the first minute. This is much more us.

    Alex: No Partey, no party.

    Aston Villa 1-0 Arsenal

Brilliant from Tyrone Mings to hook the ball onto the crossbar right in front of Eddie Nketiah as he looked certain to head in Ben White's cross.

The flag then goes up for offside against White, but Mings didn't know that. Superb defending.

Said it once, I'll say it again. Arsenal were never going to win the league, we all knew it. Question is do they finish inside the top four? They look pitiful now.

As an Arsenal fan, Zinchenko has rightly received a lot of praise. But it is so frustrating to see him constantly over play and not have any width on the left. Tierney is sat on the bench yet he plays every single minute. Another error to give it away.

Smart finish, disastrous start for Arsenal!

Ollie Watkins is onto a fine ball over the top by Matty Cash. His initial touch is poor but he manages to move around the outside of William Saliba before arrowing a clinical finish into the bottom corner.

Four goals in four games for Watkins and huge work for title-chasing Arsenal now.

It's difficult [to predict who is going to win the Premier League]. I personally think it will be Manchester City. They have that edge and experience, and I think that showed on Wednesday. Arsenal have been fantastic and have certainly developed. But they are where Manchester City were four or five years ago.

Great passing in tight spaces between Philippe Coutinho and Emiliano Buendía. The ball is then sent long for Douglas Luiz down the left but Arsenal are able to deal with the potential danger.

    Bright start by the hosts.

If there is a time to have a blip, it's now. You don't want to be having one towards the end of the season. I think Arsenal have got enough. They just need to get back to basics. They need to start playing with that youthful exuberance that we have seen and enjoyed.

Aston Villa v Arsenal (12:30 GMT)

    Steve Wilson
Match of the Day commentator at Villa Park

Villa Park is on absolute tenterhooks for this one. It's a big game in particular for Arsenal having lost the lead to Manchester City with that defeat at the Emirates in midweek. Arsenal have taken only one point from their last three games and have dropped off the top of the league after 101 days. Aston Villa boss Unai Emery is facing his former club. He spent 18 months managing at the Emirates. You could say this is a game Arsenal need to win.
