    Tottenham need a response after a bad start to the month.

    They lost to Sheffield United in the FA Cup and then at Wolves in the Premier League.

    They lost the first leg of this tie in Milan 1-0 last month too and need to win to keep their only realistic hopes of a trophy alive.

    Since beating Spurs in the first leg, Milan have picked up two wins from three, losing 1-0 to Fiorentina on Saturday.

    Losing Franck Kessie in midfield meant AC Milan lost a lot on a tactical level then they have had several injuries that forced them to change the way they play recently.

    They thought they bought well in the transfer market but as it came to be, they weren't really great additions to the squad.

    Bayern can play a lot deeper but if you give a lot of space to Mbappe it could be a long evening for them.

    Son Heung-min said Spurs' exit from the FA Cup was "painful" and they hope to put it right in this competition.

    "To be a good season we have to do our best things. We are still in the Champions League and fighting for the top four," said Son.

    "Everyone dreams of playing in the Champions League. Words are not enough - we have to prepare and have a clear plan.

    "If we turn it around it could change the season and give us a little confidence and boost."

    Tottenham's defeat in Milan has brought their chance of reaching the Champions League quarter-finals down from 59% to 38%.

    The two teams are very closely matched on the Euro Club Index, external with Spurs ranked 17th and AC Milan 18th.

    Chelsea recovered from a similar position to reach the last eight with similar odds last night.In the other match, Bayern Munich, who only have Manchester City ranked ahead of them on the Euro Club Index, have an 88% chance of a Champions League quarter-final place after winning the first leg 1-0 in Paris.
