Lyndon Dykes dejectedImage source, PA Media

QPR come from two goals down to salvage a point at West Brom and narrowly save themselves from falling back into the bottom three.

Brandon Thomas-Asante and Semi Ajayi put the Baggies two up inside 14 minutes, but goals from Lyndon Dykes and then Chris Martin - the latter thanks to a goalkeeper howler - clawed back the deficit to earn Rangers the draw.

    Cardiff City 0-1 Sunderland

Dennis Cirkin's goal is enough for Sunderland to take all three points in an otherwise relatively quiet match in the Welsh capital.

Cardiff remain dangerously outside the relegation places by just one point.

GOAL: Preston 2-1 Readingpublished at 16:52 British Summer Time 10 April 2023

    Brad Potts (90+2 mins)

Brad Potts heads in from close range and that should seal the win for Preston, who are chasing that top-six spot.

The tall midfielder came through the crowd and was too tall to defend.

Heartbreak for Reading, who look like staying in the relegation zone for now.

    Preston 1-1 Reading

Joe Lumley with a crucial save in the Reading goal.

The ball sailed in to a Preston player who took a touch and blasted it toward goal.

But Lumley was equal to it and parried it away with a big outstretched left hand.

    Only 90 seconds left!

Big late goal for second-placed Northampton.

William Hondermarck has put them 2-1 up at home to Gillingham with about eight minutes to go.

Play-off chasing Bradford are now 3-1 up against Sutton and Barrow are hammering Crawley 4-0.

Feels for the away fans who made the fairly substantial trip for that one...

  8. CLOSE!published at 16:47 British Summer Time 10 April 2023

    West Brom 2-2 QPR

Taylor Richards comes on for QPR and almost scores with his first touch of the match!

His header flies just over the bar as Gareth Ainsworth's side push to take all three points.

No less than two minutes later Andre Dozzell fires just wide as he takes a chance from outside the box.

    Norwich 0-0 Rotherham

    Another double change from Norwich.

It's Christos Tzolis and Abu Kamara on and Onel Hernandez and Marquinhos off. A lot of huffing and puffing from the Canaries, but no final touch.

    Cardiff 0-1 Sunderland

Cardiff will stay one point above the bottom three unless they can find something in this final five minutes.

The Bluebirds have really struggled in front of goal this season and have managed only three shots on target so far this afternoon.

The most unlikely of goals and the most unlikely of goal scorers and Reading are back in it.

The long throw came into the box, a number of players jumped for it, but it was the substitute Kalvin Ehibhatiomhan (known as K around the training ground apparently) who flicked a header over his shoulder which sent the ball looping over the goalkeeper Freddie Woodman and into the back of the net.

Such an important goal for Reading in their fight against relegation.

    Game over surely.

Cauley Woodrow gets to the byline, looks up and rolls it back to the penalty spot where Pelly Ruddock-Mpanzu is arriving.

He absolutely lashes it into the top corner for his second of the day and third of the season.

Luton are motoring! That first half lead feels a long time ago for Blackpool.

Ben Sheaf is in the right place at the right time for his second Championship goal.

Nestled in near the back post on the nearside.

He gets on the end of a cross - which looked like it was nodded on to him - and he swings a leg at the ball which bounces off his shin and into the back of the net.

What a battle between these two playoff chasing teams.

Premier League football at Kenilworth Road?!

Luton are heading to within five points of second-placed Sheffield United, thanks to main man Carlton Morris.

Alfie Doughty's deep cross should be dealt with by James Husband at the back stick, but he takes an unfortunate touch to drop it down for Morris to score from six yards.
