HUGE goal in the National League.

Leaders Notts County have gone 1-0 up at second-placed Wrexham right on half-time through a great free-kick from John Bostock (remember him?).

A win for the Magpies would send them three points clear of the Dragons, who have a game in hand.

    Oooft.

All that good work by Blackpool is undone right on half-time!

A free-kick into the box drops to Pelly Ruddock-Mpanzu on the corner of the box, he takes a touch and then fires through a crowd and past Chris Maxwell.

Relief for the third-placed Hatters after what had been a frustrating half.

    Imran Louza (45+1 mins)

    Watford scoreImage source, PA Media

Imran Louza gets his fourth goal of the season and you have to say, Watford deserve it.

Ismaila Sarr, working the nearside of the pitch, dribbles to the edge of the box and pushes a drag back pass to Louza in the middle.

    His first strike is blocked.

But he makes no mistake and fires home the rebound into the corner or the net - are the Hornets' play-off hopes still alive?

  7. CLOSE!published at 15:47 British Summer Time 10 April 2023

    West Brom 2-1 QPR

QPR are living on the edge at the end of this first half.

Conor Townsend scrambles onto the ball as it goes loose in the box for West Brom but he directs it just wide of the post.

    Preston 0-0 Reading

Not much happening in this match at Deepdale Stadium with neither side taking control.

Preston could move up to fifth in the Championship table with a win and other results going their way.

Reading need all the points they can get to avoid sliding into the relegation zone.

  9. League Two latestpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 10 April 2023

    Cardiff 0-0 Sunderland

Sabri Lamouchi is clearly not happy with something he's seeing from his side at the moment.

We're still 10 minutes from half-time but he's already making a double change, taking off Sheyi Ojo and Jaden Philogene and bringing on Jack Simpson and Andy Rinomhota.

Almost a carbon-copy to the first goal as Joel Piroe is again in space in the box and he finds the far corner with his left foot for his 17th of the season.

It's a long way back from here this afternoon for the Latics.

    Lincoln scoreImage source, Rex Features

Big, big, BIG goal in the League One promotion race.

Draw specialists Lincoln City have taken the lead at Plymouth, who had started the day top of the league and have won 17 of their 19 home games this season.

Olamide Shodipo's goal has the Imps a goal to the good.

As it stands, Sheffield Wednesday are League One leaders, the Pilgrims second and Ipswich third.

Long way to go today though of course.

Some big goals at the foot of the league.

Colchester have taken a 2-0 lead at home to Crewe through John Akinde's double.

Second-bottom Hartlepool have won their past two to give their survival hopes a massive shot in the arm.

However, Danny Rose has given promotion hopefuls Stevenage the lead at Victoria Park.

Elsewhere, managerless Tranmere lead Swindon 1-0 in a game between two teams in wretched form and Doncaster are a goal to the good against Grimsby.

All four of those teams will be in the fourth tier again next season.

    Charlton celebrateImage source, Rex Features

Derby's play-off bid had hit a bit of a bump in the road over the past few weeks, with three successive defeats.

However, they won on Friday and David McGoldrick has given them the lead against struggling MK Dons today.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi has his and Charlton's second in their home game against Burton.

The 20-year-old Crystal Palace loanee will be playing higher up the pyramid next season.

Fleetwood lead Bristol Rovers 1-0 in a midtable clash, Jayden Stockley with the goal.

  20. Postpublished at 15:25 British Summer Time 10 April 2023

    Norwich 0-0 Rotherham

Teemu Pukki is on his long goodbye at Norwich and a couple of opportunities have slipped through his grasp, as Cohen Bramall blocks one effort and he shoots over with the other.

For a team chasing the play-offs, Norwich's home form has been very disappointing this season - with as many defeats (eight) as victories.

They really could do with ending the campaign with nine points out of nine at Carrow Road.
