West Ham captain Declan Rice, speaking to BT Sport: “It’s massive. The points it puts us on now put a nice gap between us and the teams at the bottom. There’s still three to go but the significance of the three points is massive. We had our eye on this game as one we could win in front of the home fans. Today, the lads gave absolutely everything and it was a thoroughly deserved win.
“As players you can’t help to look around you. To win this one was big, to give ourselves a gap between ourselves and the bottom. Mathematically, you still need 40. We’ve got our semi-final Thursday and then we go to Brentford so we want to finish on a high.”
On the mistake for West Ham’s goal: “Sometimes things go for you in football and today it was one of those things. I think that’s our best performance at home this season. Front foot, aggressive, 1v1, on the ball – everything today was a real positive performance.
“As a player, the whole world is watching. For me, for the lads, you put on the shirt, you go out there and you want to do it – you’re playing against Manchester United – you want to do it and today we did it so I’m buzzing.”

Colin: Take the cup win away and this has been another awful season for UTD. Away record is awful, had some absolute hammerings. Huge summer for ETH and nothing can be planned because of the dragged out situation with the sale of the club

Man United bottling the top four nicely. Man City licking their lips ahead of the FA Cup Final. If United forfeit the final now, hopefully they can do a FIFA and forfeit 3-0 - will be a much more respectable scoreline that way...
