Making West Ham look like world beaters. Woeful second half performance. No desire.
Gavin
West Ham 1-0 Man Utd
There's loads going on all over the pitch. David Moyes is on the side on the pitch bellowing instructions to his players but he's wasting his time. No one can hear. The London Stadium is rocking.
West Ham 1-0 Man Utd
In comes the set-piece and the ball is bouncing around the penalty area before the visitors get it cleared.
And then West Ham come again. Lucas Paqueta, who is having a great game, goes close this time with a fierce attempt which flashes just past the post.
West Ham 1-0 Man Utd
This is a cracking game.
Michail Antonio is driving into Manchester United's half when he is sent crashing by Aaron Wan-Bissaka who gets a yellow card for his troubles.
Free-kick in a decent position.

This is painful as a United fan. Liverpool breathing down our necks, Newcastle conceding ground and this is our response. Pathetic.

West Ham 1-0 Man Utd
Lovely move by West Ham!
It ends with Tomas Soucek lashing it into the side netting but lovely control by Lucas Paqueta in the build-up.

At what point do we need to say that Man Utd have actually not made any progress since Solskjaer left? Winning the Carabao Cup, a pretty meaningless trophy, shouldn't cover up the countless thrashings (7-0 v Liverpool, 4-0 v Brentford, etc.) and collapses (Sevilla, Spurs) and their terrible current form. When - not if - Liverpool catch United, it will have to be written off as a pretty poor season.

And another chance for the Hammers but Lucas Paqueta's attempt is high and wide. The home fans are loving this but it's still only 1-0.
West Ham 1-0 Man Utd
Superb feet from Declan Rice inside the penalty box but it does not lead to anything, with no one able to connect with his ball across the face of goal.
West Ham 1-0 Man Utd
Anthony Martial is finally sent on with instructions to rescue his side. Another game without a goal for Weghorst.
West Ham 1-0 Man Utd
A rare shot on target by Manchester United. It's from the boot of Wout Weghorst who forces a save from Lukasz Fabianski. Is that Weghorst's last action? Anthony Martial is about to come on.

This is a joke. VAR is a joke. Players pretending to be hurt is a joke. That being said, none of it is actually funny...

West Ham 1-0 Man Utd
Erik ten Hag is having words with substitute Anthony Martial. Is he about to come on? The Red Devils need someone who can put the ball in the net.

Sadly there’s very little place for sentiment in sport if you’re looking to build a winning team, so it’s time for De Gea to go IMO
Calum
West Ham 1-0 Man Utd
David Moyes does not look happy with that decision. Manchester United are living dangerously.
West Ham 1-0 Man Utd
West Ham think they have a second goal after David de Gea is unable to jump for the ball after a challenge by Michail Antonio. Referee Peter Bankes immediately rules it out for a foul.
West Ham 1-0 Man Utd
Backs against the wall for Manchester United.
David de Gea is forced to beat away Tomas Soucek's fierce attempt which eventually leads to another corner that comes to nothing.
West Ham 1-0 Man Utd
Strong start to the half by the Hammers. Said Benrahma pings a cross into the box which Victor Lindelof is forced to clear before the home side win a corner, West Ham's first of the match.

Am I the only one who thought Lindelof's handball was a stonewall penalty?
Mike
Definite handball from Lindelof - both hits his hand and he moves it away from his body. Other teams would have that given against them.
