Now it is all West Ham as they break from a Leeds attack and Pablo Fornals charges to the edge of the box but fires just wide under pressure from a sliding challenge.

    Stephen Kelly
Former Tottenham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's excellent play from West Ham. It's the first time they've moved the ball that well and they drag Leeds players out of position.

    It's a great goal.

Fair play to West Ham for motivating themselves to get back into this game. Leeds were happy to sit back in a defensive position but West Ham were patient.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 21 May 2023

    West Ham 1-1 Leeds

Another blow for Leeds because Patrick Bamford, who has been struggling with an injury for the last few minutes, can't continue. Wilfried Gnonto is on in his place.

    Brighton 0-0 Southampton

A reminder that victory in their penultimate home game of the season would put Brighton out of eighth-placed Tottenham's reach, securing European football for the first time in the club's history.

It really has been a remarkable campaign for the Seagulls and they have made a confident start against relegated Southampton so far, keeping the ball nicely.

End of days fans stop bemoaning any perceived lack of effort from other teams, the position your team is after 36 games is down to performance of your team over 36 games!

    Sam.

West Ham should be playing with more pride, given our amazing Europe run.

In response to praise for playing a strong team, it's not who plays but more how they play. Are WHU players really up for this....?

Solid banter from Sam Allardyce as he appears to clock a fiver on the floor, taps the fourth official on the shoulder to suggest he's dropped it. The official laughs it off, as does Big Sam, who then pockets it.

Declan Rice works a bit of space for himself 30 yards from goal and he fancies his chances with a long ranger, but he sends the ball sailing well over the bar.

West Ham do feel like a team just going through the motions, they don't look like they are at it.

If Leeds can continue to keep the pressure on then they should be able to grab a second.

Always worry about games like West Ham vs Leeds. West ham have nothing to play for but pride. Wonder how Everton fans are feeling about it.

How did Leeds not know about McKennie's long throw before Allardyce came in? Great finish from Rodrigo!

That is right out of the stereotypical Sam Allardyce play-book.

    Long throw, volley straight in.

There is far more to Allardyce than that but he knows perceptions won't change.

I was just about to say Leeds need to may their good start count as I can't see David Moyes putting up with his own side's lethargy for long.

West Ham respond by winning the first corner of the game. Jarrod Bowen bends it in and Joel Robles punches clear.

Leeds shouldn't sit back. West Ham haven't looked on it and are there for beating if the visitors continue to play as they have.

    What a sensational volley.

It's an absolute ping of a throw from McKennie and a wonderful finish.

It's nothing less than Leeds deserve, they've been wonderful so far.
