  1. CLOSE!published at 14:41 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Man Utd

Just as we praise Man Utd, Liverpool nearly score. Shanice van de Sanden mishits her cross and it nearly creeps in at the back post, fizzing just wide.

United keeper Mary Earps looked very worried diving to her right.

  2. 'Last opponent you want in this situation is Chelsea'published at 14:40 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Reading 0-0 Chelsea

    Jenna Schillaci
Former Spurs captain on Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

Anything is possible in football, and we have seen that in this league this season.

But, last game of the season, fighting for survival, last team you want to see on the fixture list is Chelsea.

They've come into form at the right time, scoring for fun, and when you look at the front line and the players they have on the bench, it's frightening.

  3. Postpublished at 14:40 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Brighton 0-0 Leicester

Katie Robinson again threatens to cause chaos on the right-hand side for Brighton but the assistant's flag goes up for offside as she gets in behind the Leicester defence.

The Foxes need to keep an eye on the lively Seagulls winger, who has broken into Sarina Wiegman's England squad this season.

  4. CLOSE!published at 14:39 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Arsenal 0-0 Aston Villa

How has that not gone in!?

Arsenal attack down the left, the cross comes in and Stina Blackstenius gets across her marker at the near post.

Her touch takes the ball past the keeper and right across the face of goal but Katie McCabe can't get on the end of it to force it home.

    Liverpool 0-0 Man Utd

Man Utd look the better side. They're more comfortable in possession, spraying the ball across the pitch at ease.

  6. 'United have found consistency'published at 14:39 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Man Utd

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC One

They don't have off-days, Manchester United. Liverpool have been see-sawing. They've found that level of consistency to beat teams, Manchester United, and justifiably find themselves playing Champions League football next year.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 14:39 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Man City 0-0 Everton

    Manchester City hit the bar!

Brilliant play from Chloe Kelly sees a perfect cross set up for Lauren Hemp, but her looping header strikes the woodwork.

The hosts are in total control at the moment.

  8. 'One season too far for Reading?'published at 14:37 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Reading 0-0 Chelsea

    Jenna Schillaci
Former Spurs captain on Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

Kelly Chambers has been a massive part of this Reading family.

The job she has done for the team in recent seasons, given the situation that the club has found itself in, is quite phenomenal really.

The last couple of years they have been in and around the bottom of the table but they have always found a way out.

But this season how other teams have grown and invested seems to have finally caught up with them.

  9. Postpublished at 14:37 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Reading 0-0 Chelsea

A promising Reading attack comes to an end as Deanne Rose's shot from the edge of the box is blocked.

Encouraging play down the left for the home side, though.

  10. SHOWBOATpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Brighton 0-0 Leicester

Nearly one of the goals of the season from Brighton striker Elisabeth Terland.

Katie Robinson's pull-back is just behind her so the Norway forward improvises with a brilliant backheel that could well have been sneaking in at the far post had a Leicester defender not been covering to clear it off the line.

Kayleigh Green then whistles shot just over from 20 yards. Good start from the Seagulls.

  11. 'United up the tempo'published at 14:36 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Man Utd

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC One

Lovely play from Russo. Drove inside and took on players. United are ramping up the tempo.

  12. Postpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Arsenal 0-0 Aston Villa

Stina Blackstenius looks to be in down the right for Arsenal but the flag is up.

The Gunners have been on top in the early exchanges.

  13. Postpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Man Utd

All United now. First Alessia Russo shakes off a couple of defenders and then Ella Toone finds the angle on the left, but her cross is cleared away by the reds.

Remember, a Man Utd win and Chelsea defeat will see Marc Skinner's side crowned champions.

  14. Postpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Reading 0-0 Chelsea

Not entirely convincing but Reading do manage to clear the free-kick.

Chelsea soon win back possession and are looking to pen Reading inside their own half.

There is a slight concern for the Blues, though, with Lauren James limping slightly. They'll hope she can run it off.

  15. Record crowd?published at 14:34 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Man Utd

    Neil Johnston
    BBC Sport at Prenton Park

The record crowd for Liverpool women at Prenton Park is 3,348. I reckon that's going to be beaten today. The end where Manchester United's fans are gathered is rocking while there are pockets of away fans in other areas of the ground.

  16. Postpublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Man Utd

Very open game so far as Manchester United win a wide free-kick.

Katie Zelem takes it but Leah Galton's header doesn't have enough power and Liverpool hack things clear.

  17. Postpublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    West Ham 0-0 Tottenham

First shot in anger in the London derby at Chigwell Construction Stadium and it comes from West Ham's France striker Viviane Asseyi - but she flashes her strike well wide from 20 yards.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Reading 0-0 Chelsea

Free-kick to Chelsea about 35 yards out as Deanna Cooper pulls Sam Kerr down as the Chelsea striker tried to get onto a ball over the top.

    Early yellow card for Cooper.

  19. 'United need to build not lose players'published at 14:33 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Man Utd

    Jenna Schillaci
Former Spurs captain on Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

It is a sign of Manchester United's intent and where they see themselves that they refused to sell Alessia Russo to Arsenal in January.

In order to win anything domestically or on the European stage you've got to be keeping players like Alessia Russo.

Ona Batlle leaving will be a massive, massive blow to them. Her assists and contributions to the team has been phenomenal this season.

But they are going to have to give it everything they have to keep a player like Alessia Russo. She's world class and they have to build on what they have now rather than losing players.

  20. Postpublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Man Utd

Liverpool have started strongly and immediately win a corner. But they take it short and the chance fizzles out.
