That decision to award a free-kick rather than a penalty will no doubt infuriate United too - but they are playing well.

Further replays show Niamh Charles caught Nikita Parris' trailing leg, which was outside the area. The rest of her body was inside - but the contact was outside.

Nikita Parris has always been exceptional at getting in behind defenders.

It looks in the box for me. It should be a penalty.

It appeared Niamh Charles had clearly felled Parris inside the area, but perhaps the contact started outside the box?

From the free kick, Millie Turner heads over.

Earps' feet get going so quick, she times it to perfection so she can get across and make that save.

Most of us, females in particluar, aren't going to be six foot five, so foot work is key.

A massive save from Mary Earps! She got just enough on it to tip it onto the post. Maya Le Tissier ran straight over to her to celebrate. United have been the better side all half and Chelsea have barely created anything. If they had scored then it would have been a huge blow.

That Chelsea chance came after Jessie Fleming was fouled on the edge of the area, however referee Emily Heaslip played advantage.

Good officiating.

First big chance for Chelsea, and another fine save!

A driven low cross from the left, Lauren James gets ahead of the defenders and loops a header towards the far post.

Mary Earps has to be very quick on her feet to scramble across goal, and she brilliantly claws the ball away one handed. A brave save too as she collides with the post afterwards.

It's a wonderful move and it comes from the rotation of the front three with Galton coming central

She just flicks her foot out after getting across the defender and it's everything but seeing the back of the net.

The chances are coming for United!

Alessia Russo with a low cross from the right, Leah Galton gets across her defender but can only poke the ball over the bar from six yards out.

They need to take one, or you suspect Chelsea will make them regret it.

Berger required some treatment after that save, giving Hayes another chance to issue instructions to her players.

Chelsea have been happy to sit in midfield, not press United at all and allow them to carry the ball forward.

What a save that was from Ann-Katrin Berger.

Millie Turner popped up with a last minute headed goal on her comeback but this time she's denied.

The pace was taken off the ball with the deflection but it's still a great save.
