  1. United on top in first halfpublished at 15:26 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    HT: Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

    Emma Sanders
    BBC Sport at Wembley Stadium

United will be pleased with how they have played but disappointed to be going in 0-0 at half time.

They have created chances and tested Chelsea and other than Lauren James' looping header, the Blues have not really troubled Mary Earps.

That decision to award a free-kick rather than a penalty will no doubt infuriate United too - but they are playing well.

Emma Hayes will have a lot to say to her players. Chelsea have looked indecisive and off the pace.

  2. 'Skinner sticks with tried and trusted'published at 15:25 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    HT: Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC One

Marc Skinner won't be too ready to shuffle his pack.

He likes to stick with this eleven and has some tried and trusted substitutes that he'll turn to later on.

Chelsea 0-0 Man United: Berger's superb reflex save denies United opener in FA Cup final

The clearest opening of the first 45 minutes, it appeared Millie Turner was certain to put Manchester United ahead.

    Ann-Katrin Berger had other ideas.

  4. 'Man Utd the better team'published at 15:22 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

    Rachel Corsie
Scotland and Aston Villa defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Manchester United have been the better team, they have been more dynamic in the final third, and it is something that will disappoint Chelsea.

  5. 'United need to be clinical'published at 15:21 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    HT: Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

    Siobhan Chamberlain
Ex-England and Man Utd goalkeeper on BBC One

Frustration is the word. Marc Skinner will be frustrated because they've had opportunities but they need to be clinical and ruthless.

  6. Postpublished at 15:21 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    HT: Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

Further replays show Niamh Charles caught Nikita Parris' trailing leg, which was outside the area. The rest of her body was inside - but the contact was outside.

    More good officiating.

  7. 'Looks in the box'published at 15:19 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC One

Nikita Parris has always been exceptional at getting in behind defenders.

It looks in the box for me. It should be a penalty.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

    Frantic start, frantic finish.

United had the better chances, but no breakthrough yet.

  9. Postpublished at 45+3 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

VAR has checked that, and the free kick stands. No penalty.

It appeared Niamh Charles had clearly felled Parris inside the area, but perhaps the contact started outside the box?

From the free kick, Millie Turner heads over.

  10. Postpublished at 45+2 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

United try for one final chance before half time, and Nikita Parris wins a free kick right on the edge of the area on the right wing.

But was it in the area?

  11. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

Man Utd owner (for now) Avram Glazer is spotted in the crowd by the BBC cameras.

The fourth official indicates three minutes added time.

  12. 'Footwork is key'published at 15:14 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC One

Earps' feet get going so quick, she times it to perfection so she can get across and make that save.

Most of us, females in particluar, aren't going to be six foot five, so foot work is key.

  13. Postpublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

    Emma Sanders
    BBC Sport at Wembley Stadium

A massive save from Mary Earps! She got just enough on it to tip it onto the post. Maya Le Tissier ran straight over to her to celebrate. United have been the better side all half and Chelsea have barely created anything. If they had scored then it would have been a huge blow.

  14. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

That Chelsea chance came after Jessie Fleming was fouled on the edge of the area, however referee Emily Heaslip played advantage.

    Good officiating.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 42 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

First big chance for Chelsea, and another fine save!

A driven low cross from the left, Lauren James gets ahead of the defenders and loops a header towards the far post.

Mary Earps has to be very quick on her feet to scramble across goal, and she brilliantly claws the ball away one handed. A brave save too as she collides with the post afterwards.

  16. 'Wonderful move'published at 15:08 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC One

It's a wonderful move and it comes from the rotation of the front three with Galton coming central

She just flicks her foot out after getting across the defender and it's everything but seeing the back of the net.

  17. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

The chances are coming for United!

Alessia Russo with a low cross from the right, Leah Galton gets across her defender but can only poke the ball over the bar from six yards out.

They need to take one, or you suspect Chelsea will make them regret it.

  18. 'It has to be perfect'published at 15:07 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC One

Chelsea haven't got any time on the ball, it has to be perfect.

    Manchester United are hustling them.

Berger required some treatment after that save, giving Hayes another chance to issue instructions to her players.

Chelsea have been happy to sit in midfield, not press United at all and allow them to carry the ball forward.

Will they up their tempo as this game goes on?

  20. 'Great save'published at 15:05 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC One

What a save that was from Ann-Katrin Berger.

Millie Turner popped up with a last minute headed goal on her comeback but this time she's denied.

The pace was taken off the ball with the deflection but it's still a great save.
