  2. 'Man Utd are an outstanding team'published at 16:54 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

Women's FA Cup final: Chelsea v Man Utd (Sun, 14:30 BST, live on the BBC)

    Chelsea

Emma Hayes on FA Cup opponents Manchester United, who are one point above Chelsea at the top of the Women's Super League: "Previous success is not indicative of future success. We are playing an outstanding team who have led the way in the league this year and deserve to be in the cup final.

"And it's a cup final where last year we won but... I think Man City played better than us that day. So maybe being there in the past gives you the luxury of understanding what it is like, but it is no advantage whatsoever."

Hayes on whether Chelsea start the game as favourites: "I think it's fair to say have been written off quite easily, in the press particularly, so we're always favourites in our eyes. But what we are in yours is what you sell newspapers and make news out of. What's important is the belief, the trust, the internal is critical when it really matters. All I can say is we are really looking forward to it."

  3. 'Everyone needed to chip in with goals'published at 16:49 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

Women's FA Cup final: Chelsea v Man Utd (Sun, 14:30 BST, live on the BBC)

    Chelsea

Chelsea manager Emma Hayes on the Blues scoring 13 goals with eight different scorers in recent games: "It's about time! The team has needed everyone to chip in. I think there has been a huge reliance on Sam [Kerr] but I think everyone else chipping in is what the team's needed at this stage of the season."

On Australia striker Sam Kerr becoming the first player to win the Women's Footballer of the Year award in successive years. Is it deserved?: "Always. I'm not a big fan of the individual awards but I am a big fan of Sam Kerr and I think anything she gets awarded is thoroughly deserving."

  4. 'You're only as good as your next game'published at 16:45 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

Women's FA Cup final: Chelsea v Man Utd (Sun, 14:30 BST, live on the BBC)

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Emma Hayes on whether her side's recent form has come at the right time in the season: "Ask me at the end. You can have two good games at home but you're only as good as your next game. So, ask me Sunday, but do I think we've played well the last couple of games? Yes, probably the best, but it's about maintaining that until the end."

On any changes she makes to the side not affecting performances: "We do it every day in training. We believe in developing different combinations and different relationships.

"Everyone who knows me knows I don't put together a team of 11 players, it's about a squad. I think it's fair to say the entire squad is at their best level; everyone has been prepared for the course of the season. So for that reason, it's a tricky decision to pick a team."

  5. 'We are used to the size of the crowd'published at 16:41 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

Women's FA Cup final: Chelsea v Man Utd (Sun, 14:30 BST, live on the BBC)

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Emma Hayes on team news for the Women's FA Cup final: "Healthy. Everyone is looking available - Sam [Kerr] included - for the weekend.

With Wembley Stadium sold out for Sunday's final, does Hayes have to consider how she will communicate with her players?: "No, because we've actually played a lot of big stadiums, have a protocol and a process for it, so it's just a case of reminding the players of what that is. I suppose these are conversations we don't really have in our dressing room anymore. We are used to the size of the crowd."

  6. 'Final is where Chelsea want to be'published at 16:37 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

Women's FA Cup final: Chelsea v Man Utd (Sun, 14:30 BST, live on the BBC)

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Emma Hayes on whether she minds taking her eye off the title race with Manchester United for one afternoon: "When you've had back-to-back games, you spend most of your days asking what day of the week it is, let alone what tournament it is.

"It's another game in a big block. Yes, it's a cup final. We've worked really hard to get to the final and had a really tough qualification to get to the final. It's where we want to be."

  7. 'Bournemouth play on the front foot'published at 16:34 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

Crystal Palace v Bournemouth (Sat, 15:00 BST)

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson on opponents Bournemouth and their manager Gary O'Neil: "Looking forward to meeting [O'Neil]. I have a lot of respect for him. I don’t know him well. I remember him well as a player. I shall be pleased to meet him for the first time on Saturday.

"We’re expecting a very tough game because they’re a team who play on the front foot and like to take the game to the opponent and likes to have good possession of the ball, and they have the skilful players enough to bring that off. We are preparing for a tough task at home and we are going to be ready for it."

  8. 'Johnstone has done exceptionally well'published at 16:31 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

Crystal Palace v Bournemouth (Sat, 15:00 BST)

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson on goalkeeper Sam Johnstone's good form: "He’s done exceptionally well since [Guaita got injured]. He also, when he came, had a period of sustained injury, so he had to wait a long time for that chance, but we’re very fortunate – we have two first-class goalkeepers."

  9. 'We’ve needed the fans every game we’ve had'published at 16:28 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

Leicester City v Liverpool (Mon, 20:00 BST)

    Leicester City

Leicester boss Dean Smith's message to fans after the defeat against Fulham last weekend: "We’ve needed them every game we’ve had and they're rightly disappointed at half-time with the scoreline.

"Their support in the second half was magnificent. We will need them definitely like we have in previous home games."

On whether it is the worst time facing Liverpool: "They’ve just won six games on the spin. You look at that and think it’s a tough time to face them but they haven’t won as many games on the road as they normally do."

"We’ve got to make sure we are a Brighton or Brentford performance against who can get a result against them."

On how it is important to stay calm watching weekend results: "We can’t affect results elsewhere. I’ll take experiences I’ve had before in this situation and try and give that to the players to help them."

  10. 'You can’t change it'published at 16:25 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

Leicester City v Liverpool (Mon, 20:00 BST)

    Leicester City

Leicester manager Dean Smith on last week's loss to Fulham: "It was a blow. Only after this game on Monday will we know how big a blow it was.

"Not just our performance but other results as well on the day. You can’t change it. What you have to do is correct it and move forward and that is what we have been looking to do."

On what went wrong: "Trying to cut out individual mistakes which is very difficult to do. You look at the goals we gave away, I felt we were a little bit too passive in the first 10-15 minutes.

"Daniel Iversen made a mistake for the first goal, we’ve made poor decisions for the second. All of a sudden you feel the world is against you when you concede that many goals. We had chances ourselves so it was one of those games where nothing really went our way."

On James Maddison’s comments about "not being hungry enough" after the defeat: "It’s always hard for players, they are emotional after games when they are asked questions.

"None of the players want to be in the position we are in at the moment. They are searching for answers themselves to hopefully appease supporters as well. As I’ve said since I’ve been here, the lads care. They just show it in different ways.

"I’m expecting fight but I’m also showing better quality than we showed in decision-making opportunities. It was a crazy game, it could have been 9-8.

"We’ve got to be better defensively, we know that but we need to find that balance of making sure we don’t detract from our attacking intent as well. We need points, we know that."

  11. 'It's our job to fight until the very last minute 'published at 16:21 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

    Southampton v Fulham (15:00 BST)

    Southampton

Southampton manager Ruben Selles on player injuries: "No one ready to come back. We have Mohammed Salisu, Juan Larios, Romain Perraud out. Armel Bella-Kotchap is out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.

"Tino Livramento is back in training but still not ready for Fulham. Che Adams, we will need to wait until tomorrow morning to see if he can be available for us.

On the prospect of relegation: "For us it's our privilege and job to fight until the very last minute and that’s what we're going to do. We know its very close but we have our chances. Its not mathematically there so we're gonna go for it.

"It's our job and privilege to be in this position, playing for Southampton and working in the Premier League.

On motivating players: "It's getting harder and the situation is not helping. It was a hard week for us, we put everything against Nottingham Forest and didn't get the result. It's harder to get back into it the day after and get ultra motivated."

  12. 'Whatever happens, happens in a unit'published at 16:19 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

    Southampton v Fulham (15:00 BST)

    Southampton

Southampton manager Ruben Selles on having one-on-ones with players: "We've been in the situation for a while now. We are dealing with individual things as much as we can and help the players be more communicative. We've tried to give feedback as much and try to listen. Whatever happens, happens in a unit."

On making sure the team sticks together: "We have been very honest with them, from the very beginning. We are not going to change. They know what it is, they know what's going on always. Our habits, the way we structure the week. Everybody goes through individual emotions, we support them. We still have the chance tomorrow and then we will take the next game."

On St Mary's being a difficult place to play: "We have prepared. For us it'll be massive to get a victory tomorrow. We have been in the position to win matches."

On Aleksandar Mitrovic's return for Fulham following an eight-game ban: "He's been doing a good job for them. He's capital. He's a winner, a natural competitor. Our first game against them, it was difficult to control him. We know the movements we know how he moves between the lines."

  13. 'The club has everything to bounce back'published at 16:15 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

    Southampton v Fulham (15:00 BST)

    Southampton

Southampton boss Ruben Selles on bouncing straight back if they were to get relegated: "I think relegation is an issue for the club. The club has everything to bounce back and give everything to be back in the Premier League."

On what he means by 'everything': "Everything as in support from the city, stadium, fans. The organisation inside, the technical staff, the players, the future players. we've got good vales and philosophy."

On players staying at the club: "It’s a complex question, if we go to the Championship, we will have players other Premier League teams will want. Its going to be a individual case."

On if he would carry on if the club is relegated: 'It's not for me to decide, but I'll like to carry on in the Championship and bounce back to the Premier League. We will talk about it if we have to at the end of the season."

On Fulham: "They will be fighting to get the most points for them in a season, this is a team that’s always in the good mood, they always have fight. They will be competitive and I expect them to be the best version of them,"

Arsenal v Brighton (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Roberto de Zerbi on Belgium winger Leandro Trossard, who joined Arsenal from Brighton in the January transfer window: "Leandro is a fantastic player. He was a fantastic player when he played for us. Now we have other players. I am proud of them and the squad. I don't want to speak about other players at other teams."

  15. 'We have a different vision'published at 16:09 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

Arsenal v Brighton (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi on what went wrong against Everton for his side to be beaten so heavily: In the Premier League, you always have to play every match at your best - at 100% of your ability. The improvement is in our head. For sure, it was a problem of mentality on Monday - not our style or quality.

De Zerbi on his hopes for the club potentially securing Champions League football next season: "Before I started working here, the target was tenth place and in two months, we have switched it to Champions League. We have a different vision. In football you lose if you don't believe."

  16. 'We are fighting for a big target'published at 16:05 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

Arsenal v Brighton (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi on his side's ambitions to secure European football next season: "We are fighting for a big target and we need to push with passion and courage..

"Arsenal are a great team, they deserve to be fighting for the title and we have big respect for them, but I am only focussed on us."

On how Brighton are feeling after their 5-1 home defeat by relegation strugglers Everton on Monday: "We are still disappointed about the last result but I think on Sunday, we will be ready to try and win the game. We need to be in the right condition."

  17. 'I have seen a lot of energy'published at 15:59 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

Man Utd v Wolves (Sat, 15:00 BST)

    Manchester United

A final word from Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag on having a free midweek with no matches: "We had a week and we needed it to rest, reload, recharge, get the energy back following a lack of it in the last two games.

"I have seen a lot of energy, of joy on the pitch and work on details, so it was good."

On whether back-to-back defeats make him nervous: "No, we are convinced in what we are doing. We have had a lot of success and won a lot of games with the way we work, so the structures are clear, but we have to execute them and show 100% discipline."

On their good record at Old Trafford: "We believe in the way we work and the way we play and the togetherness with the fans. There is a good ambience and it is difficult for opponents to arrive here and face us."

  18. 'We have everything in our hands'published at 15:53 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

Man Utd v Wolves (Sat, 15:00 BST)

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag on the importance of beating Liverpool to fourth place after a recent turnaround in results: "It’s not important, we have it in our hands, have to bring our performance and then it’s not important.

"Important is the opponent we face tomorrow - Wolves. We take them seriously. They have done a great job, so our focus is on that. We don’t think about other opponents."

Ten Hag on whether he can ignore Liverpool's six-match winning run: "Of course we can ignore it, it is not important. We have everything in our hands - we are not dependent on them, we are dependent on ourselves."

We’ve had to build him up physically. He’s started four times in the last six. He’s adding more interesting aspects to his game so we are very pleased with his performances"

  20. 'Players want to stay at Brentford for a long time'published at 15:49 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

Brentford v West Ham (Sun, 14:00 BST)

    Brentford

Brentford manager Thomas Frank on the club's summer transfer plans: "We’re already a club where players want to stay for a long time. We, like every other team bar six in the world, are a selling club. It’s OK if the timing is right for the players and, more importantly, for us, for players to leave,"
