That's 14 Premier League goals for the season for Alexsandar Mitrovic which is some going considering he was banned for a fifth of the season.

Only three Fulham players have ever netted more in a single campaign – Louis Saha (13 in 2003-04), Clint Dempsey (17 in 2011-12) and Dimitar Berbatov (15 in 2012-13).

    Liverpool 0-1 Aston Villa

As you were then, at Anfield and in the race for the top four.

Newcastle United and Manchester United remain on course to secure a Champions League place today.

Aston Villa have European football in their sights with 30 minutes remaining. A win would mean they start the final day three points above eighth-placed Tottenham.

What a header! What a number nine to be honest...

It's a tale as old as time, Willian whips in a free-kick and Aleksandar Mitrovic cashes in on some absent marking to charge in and thump a header into the back of the net.

Now Daniel Podence volleys wide as he is left unmarked inside the area.

    Everton are walking a tightrope.

Wolves did incredibly well to get in a manager of the calibre of Lopetegui.

You look at his CV the jobs he has done and the places he has managed, for Wolves to lure a manager of that quality to the Premier League is a real coup.

Keeping him will be their biggest problem.

Sancho offers nothing and yet, somehow, Martial offers even less.

    James

Garnacho must be looking forward to next season with only Sancho, and Antony in front of him. And when Weghorst replaces you with the manager thinking he'll increase the teams chance of grabbing a goal surely it's time to pack your bags Mr Martial?

    Bournemouth 0-1 Man Utd

More good news for Manchester United fans from Anfield then, and almost something for them to cheer on the south coast. Bruno Fernandes hits a low shot sweetly from Aaron Wan-Bissaka's pass, it's heading in but is deflected clear.

  8. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 16:21 British Summer Time 20 May 2023

    Liverpool 0-1 Aston Villa

The referee is sent to the monitor to check this for offside!

And the decision is... NO GOAL!

Virgil van Dijk is in an offside position when the ball deflected back off Ezri Konsa in the build-up.

    Wolves 1-0 Everton

Pablo Sarabia bends a shot just wide of the far post as Wolves hunt a second.

Everton then give the ball away in their own half before Nelson Semedo drives a shot just off target.

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:20 British Summer Time 20 May 2023

    Bournemouth 0-1 Man Utd

Wout Weghorst comes close to that elusive Premier League goal! He catches a shot on the bounce sweetly but it's straight at Neto, who beats it clear.

  11. Postpublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 20 May 2023

    Wolves 1-0 Everton

Demarai Gray does well on the right flank to beat Toti and get a very inviting cross in but, not for the first time, there's no Everton players there ready to attack it.

    Cody Gakpo

    Liverpool find a way through!

Villa fail to deal with Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross, which is headed back into the path of Cody Gakpo to fire in at the second attempt.

VAR is going to have to check this for an offside, however...

    Bournemouth 0-1 Man Utd

It's certainly not a vintage Manchester United performance but I cannot stress enough how 'end-of-season' this game is. We can only be minutes away from a youth scholar coming on for his one career Premier League appearance. The fact that Bournemouth can afford to have a game like this at this stage of the season is all credit to them.

Man United come out blazing first half. Score one goal. Man United too tired in second half. Concede or just hang on. Far behind the top three in ability and determination to win.

  16. Postpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 20 May 2023

    Liverpool 0-1 Aston Villa

Matty Cash and Lucas Digne have been excellent in monitoring the runs of Luis Diaz and Mo Salah, and Cash once again reads a Trent Alexander-Arnold ball from deep to cut out the danger.

The visitors get forward, and Alisson is forced to save John McGinn's low drive from distance.

Everton haven't won a Premier League game this season when they have been trailing at half time and you'd feel they would snap up a point if it was offered now. They are not really looking like scoring at the moment.

United taking it too easy. I hope Ten Hag reads them the riot act. Poor. Should be all over Bournemouth like a rash given what’s at stake. Sancho, Anthony .. got to be better

    Anon - via WhatsApp

With Amad Diallo coming back after a fantastic loan and Garnacho's rise, Sancho is looking more and more like a £75m bench warmer at best. Not cut out for the physicality and demands of the Premier League. Has moments, but by and large he is an irrelevance when he plays.
