The Brentford fans are in fine voice as their side see out the final minutes.

They're drowned out by boos from the remaining home supporters as the full-time whistle goes.

Tottenham finish with defeat at home, but Brentford keep their European hopes alive!

    Tottenham 1-3 Brentford

Spurs have had around 85% possession over the last 15 minutes or so, but it's not going to be enough to make up for a poor second half showing.

Pedro Porro sees a couple of attempts blocked in quick succession. No way through.

  3. Postpublished at 90+5 mins

    Tottenham 1-3 Brentford

Ben Mee, again, is in the right place at the right time for Brentford.

It's another great block by the centre-back, reacting superbly to throw himself in front of a shot.

  4. Postpublished at 90+4 mins

    Tottenham 1-3 Brentford

Spurs continue to push for a lifeline that would make for an interesting final few minutes to this game. Richarlison has looked sharp since his introduction, but he can't pick out Harry Kane as the hosts try and pass their way through the middle of the Brentford defence.

Decent stadium, some pretty football but even the most ardent Spurs fans know their team are never going to win real silverware under Levy. Chairman since 2001 with one league cup in 2008. The facts don't lie. The phrase Groundhog Day was coined for Tottenham.

    Colin, Kinghorn

Clearly Levy has had opportunities to bring a manager in that could have at least stopped this end of season catastrophe? How did he think, nice a guy as he is that Ryan Mason could do it. Totally out of his depth.

    Nick, Bristol

When you think how optimistic Spurs fans were at the start this season - the team to run City close allegedly - this season has been little short of catastrophic..Levy/Enic should sell, they've blown so many good opportunities with such poor decision making!

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 90+2 mins

    Tottenham 1-3 Brentford

    Incredible save!

How on earth has David Raya kept that out?!

Somehow the Spaniard gets across to deny Richarlison at close-range, before recovering to once again deny the Brazilian with a header and protect Brentford's two-goal advantage.

Maybe it's not all quite over just yet.

We're going to have NINE minutes of added time.

Not that many of the Spurs fans appear to be sticking around to see them...

That is Yoane Wissa's final contribution as he's replaced by Josh Dasilva, while Mads Roerslev is also introduced for Aaron Hickey.

    Game over!

The Spurs fans are heading for the exits.

Bryan Mbeumo turns provider for Yoane Wissa after Oliver Skipp is robbed of possession following a Tottenham corner.

It's all gone horribly wrong for Spurs in this second half.

Ben Mee has been nothing short of magnificent for Brentford this season. A perfect example of a player gone under the radar and a free transfer that has repaid us in clean sheets. Having Ben in our defence is as important as Ivan’s goals.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 84 mins

    Tottenham 1-2 Brentford

It's Ben Davies who makes way for Ivan Perisic.

Fellow substitute Pedro Porro whips in a corner from the right but it's met by a Brentford head, and play is paused after Ben Mee goes down. Frustration for Spurs.

Kane's loyalty has not been repaid by the club... his stats are quite simply sensational and he is a guaranteed 30 goal player in the right team... it's not going to happen but Arsenal would be the best place for him to challenge for a title - unless United add at least three world class players in their spine

Ivan Perisic is getting ready to come on for the closing stages.

    Spurs want a penalty!

Richarlison goes down in the box after nipping in front of Rico Henry but Jarred Gillett sees nothing wrong with it and VAR backs up the referees' verdict.

He definitely gets there before Henry after a loose touch by the Brentford defender, but there's not a huge amount of contact.

Spurs under Levy 1. New stadium 2 one of the best strikers in the world 3 no manager.. if it wasn't for Levy you'd be in the proverbial.

    Mike, Yorkshire

I've been a Spurs supporter for longer than Daniel Levy has been alive but it is getting to the point where one of us has to quit. I hope it isn't me.

    Tottenham 1-2 Brentford

Brentford are on course to move one point behind Tottenham with one game to go, keeping alive their own hopes of European football.

It's Manchester City, who could already be champions by then, on the final day for Thomas Frank's side.

Spurs have the ball but they're struggling to create anything with it. Still no shot on target for the hosts in this second half.

    Ryan Mason shakes his head.

A second change for Brentford sees Shandon Baptiste replace Mathias Jensen for the remaining 20 minutes or so.
