Liverpool and their struggles with 12:30 kickoff continues, but I am sure they will find a way and win.
Som (Liverpool fan)
Everton here for the taking just us reds trying to play to cute football, need to be more direct. Anyone for another 3-1 win?

To Will @12:50, maybe because Liverpool have been fighting for titles whereas Everton have been flirting with relegation?
Luke
Will at 12:50 - so many people think there is a gulf in class because they see the obvious. LFC, like it or not, have proven this for years. Let's not get carried away here...
Dave, Dunblane
Replying to Will. Trophies, league positions and head to head matches mainly.

Liverpool 0-0 Everton
Ashley Young's touch is loose and he gives away a cheap throw-in inside Everton's half.
It gives the crowd a lift, before James Tarkowski gets a yellow for a late challenge on Ryan Gravenberch.

It feels at the moment that the final pass at the end of the pitch from both sides is just lacking at the moment.
Liverpool have had the chances when they have gotten past the press, with Szoboslai and Gravenberch getting on the ball.
Everton have pressed and managed to disposses Mac Allister but their final ball hasn't quite been there either.
Liverpool 0-0 Everton
Alexis Mac Allister gives it away but so does James Garner. Ryan Gravenberch then wins a free-kick in midfield.

Everton have gone very brave by putting Doucoure up top alongside Calvert-Lewin, an attempt to put Liverpool under pressure when they play out from the back.
Liverpool are vulnerable in that area, they have given away some chances already, Everton have stolen the ball two or three times.
If they can be dangerous when they do nick the ball back, complete the next pass forward, they will be in at Liverpool and cause some problems.
Liverpool 0-0 Everton
Ooft. Mohamed Salah whips it dangerously over the bar. Inches!
Liverpool 0-0 Everton
Dominic Calvert-Lewin robs it off Alexis Mac Allister in midfield. It falls to Amadou Onana, who spots Alisson off his line, and has a go from near the halfway line. Not a great effort.

A decent opening 25 minutes for Everton, they're frustrating Liverpool but you know it only takes a moment of magic from the Reds for that to change.
Liverpool 0-0 Everton
Mohamed Salah rolls it to Trent Alexander-Arnold from the set-piece and it's struck well - but Everton's wall does its job.

When you go to Anfield you know there is going to be an onslaught for the first 15-20 minutes, you have to weather that.
Everton have looked dangerous at times as well. It hasn't all been sitting back.
Sean Dyche will be pretty happy with how they have done so far, but I am a bit uncomfortable with how much space Liverpool are enjoying on the break at the moment.
Liverpool 0-0 Everton
Diogo Jota plays a quick one-two with Alexis Mac Allister, then dances past Jarrad Branthwaite.
He's about to break into the box and shoot before James Tarkowski 'takes one for the team' and brings him down.
Very useful free-kick on the edge of the area which Trent Alexander-Arnold is eyeing up.
Liverpool 0-0 Everton
James Tarkowski sends a free-kick into the box after a foul from Kostas Tsimikas but it's comfortable for Alisson.
It's thrown immediately out to Luis Diaz on the right in acres of space.

Never understand why so many people think there's a gulf in class between these two sides. Liverpool are there for the taking today, UTT!
Will, Ellsemere Port
Extremely flat atmosphere at Anfield, thought it was just the one stand closed, not the whole stadium

Re Boycie @ 12.45. When was the last time Everton won a title. Just saying.

I tell you what, the sun is shining at Anfield, the Premier League is back and so far it's been a really good Merseyside derby.
What Saturdays are all about, eh?
Liverpool 0-0 Everton
Another counter-attack from Liverpool.
Luis Diaz has it on the left and there's three team-mates breaking through the middle.
He plays the pass but Amadou Onana gets back just in time to make a superb tackle.
The second time an Everton player has made a potentially goal-saving tackle. But Liverpool's counter-attacks are threatening.
Liverpool 0-0 Everton
Kostas Tsimikas brings down James Garner and Everton take a quick free-kick.
Jack Harrison curls it in and Ibrahima Konate heads it behind for a corner.
Everton starting to become dangerous.
