I think it may touch the left arm as it comes down from his chest. It is difficult to tell!

I hope they give the goal it was a fantastic finish.

Has Ayew used his arm to control the ball before hitting it? It was chest first, but was there arm after that?

They're looking at every angle going but it is really tough to tell.

    Late twist!

This is a terrific finish from Jordan Ayew, who chests a deep ball into the box behind the leaping Pedro Porro and smashes in past Guglielmo Vicario.

But wait... VAR is on the case...

Spurs, Newcastle and Villa pushing the usual top teams of Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal out would be refreshing.

A great moment for Rodrigo Bentancur who is making his first appearance since a serious knee injury. The Spurs fans sing his name

Great to see Bentancur. He was brilliant during his start with Tottenham and you can see the affection the fans have for him. If he can get back to anything near his best that will definitely improve this Tottenham team.

Son Heung-min sees a shot charged down by Marc Guehi in the box as Spurs seek some icing on the cake.

I think what Spurs do have is strength in depth in certain areas. They have a couple of key attacking players they simply can't replace, though. But then, doesn't that stand for most of the league?

The great thing about Spurs being pretty good is how much it winds up every non Spurs fan. Let's be fair folks, if any team deserves a bit more glory it is Tottenham. We have been severely lacking for too long.

Bryan Gil and Rodrigo Bentancur get some minutes in their legs.

The latter hasn't played since February and gets a huge cheer from the away end.

I don't think Spurs' squad is as weak as some would have you believe.

I’m sure many if not all spurs fans are excited by our start to the season. On the other hand I don’t think any of them realistically think we’re going to win the league. It is interesting to see everyone else try and undermine what a perfectly good start we’ve had though!

The Palace fans aren’t happy at all when the players aren’t pressing Vicario and the Tottenham defence when they have the ball. Spurs are very very comfortable.

    Strange choice from Brennan Johnson.

The ball is chipped to the back post where the forward is lurking but instead of heading in, he tries to head it back and the ball is cleared.

There's a brief VAR check for handball against Nathaniel Clyne but there's nothing doing.
