United were doing well at the start of the match, but Bernardo Silva got City playing and he's kept them playing all the way through. He's been a joy to watch.

This is going to be Manchester United's fifth defeat in their opening 10 league games.

It would be the most number of losses at the start of a league campaign since 1986-87, which, famously heralded the exit of Ron Atkinson and the arrival of Sir Alex Ferguson.

I am trying to think of a redeeming aspect of this game for the hosts - Andre Onana's saves probably.

It has been as one-sided a game as you will get.

Alejandro Garnacho is quicker than most. Most aren't Kyle Walker, though. The City defender gets back to tackle at the cost of a corner that City deal with effectively.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 17:18 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

Two City changes too. Jeremy Doku and Mateo Kovacic get a few minutes and a derby debut.

Jack Grealish and Julian Alvarez get a little rest.

Second half they've been obliterated. Absolutely obliterated have Manchester United, but City have been brilliant.

    Two more United changes.

Anthony Martial and Antony are on for Christian Eriksen and Marcus Rashford. Bit late really.

I can't remember two players running on to a pitch with less enthusiasm.

United win a corner and are in a rush to take it. They whip it in but City clear. A player in blue has been first to pretty much everything today.

Manchester City are on for their biggest win at Old Trafford since they recorded a similar sized victory in 2014, which turned out to be David Moyes' only season in charge of United.

The difference between the two clubs is absolutely massive on the football pitch.

City have been better in every department.

Another brilliant goal by Manchester City. The amount of passes they had before it ended up in the net. Man United couldn't get near City and they were just playing with them.

    It's so easy.

It's a great save again but he pushes it out to Haaland who rolls it to Foden. The two defenders do not react quick enough.

It has been one-way traffic all game and Man United will be pleased it's just three.

Manchester City deserve that for this second half performance and so do Manchester United.

It's nearly 4-0 as Phil Foden whips out the fancy stuff!

Jack Grealish's cross deflects up and gives Foden the chance to whip out a Rooney-esque bicycle kick (from closer range) but he sends his effort wide.

The City fans respond by doing the Poznan.

If it wasn't certain before, it is now!

City saunter around United before Rodri draws a save from Andre Onana with a deflected shot. The ball ricochets to Erling Haaland, who makes it easy for Phil Foden with a low ball into the middle. He can't miss.

It's comprehensive and the United fans are heading for the exits.

There were some boos that went up when United made their substitutions. I do think they've made them worse rather than better.

Erik ten Hag's decision to replace Rasmus Hojlund with Alejandro Garnacho didn't go down well with the Manchester United fans close to me.

Audible boos greeted that move. Hojlund is yet to score a league goal this season. Neither has Garnacho for that matter. Marcus Rashford has one.

I think he is limited in what he can do. He brought Mount on at half-time but I don't think I've even seen him touch the ball really.
