I don't know if Wesley was favourite to get that because there was someone else behind him, and he got up well.

But there was no power in the header and it was an easy save.

Stoke wasted the free-kick but a few phases later, Sead Haksabanovic, who is becoming more influential, crosses for Wesley and the Brazilian gets a header on goal which is saved by Ryan Allsop.

The problem for Stoke now is that Hull have got Stoke exactly where they want them.

They look comfortable on the ball and will look to exploit any holes the Potters leave as they have to come out to find a goal as the game goes on.

Cyrus Christie meets a Hull near-post corner but opts to flick it on rather than have a pop at goal.

He got there well with a good run and maybe should have taken on the goalkeeper there.

We need someone from the Stoke side to do something like Wesley did to get the team and crowd up otherwise it feels this is going to fizzle out into a bit of a nothing game.

The weather has taken a turn for the worse.

It's filthy out there, strong winds, heavy rain - but Hull are doing it on a wet Sunday afternoon in Stoke so far.

The Potters fans applaud the application of Wesley who presses the Hull defence well to make a tackle.

While we wait for the second half to begin, let's remind ourselves about what happened in the Championship yesterday.

Jamie Vardy's penalty gave Leicester a 1-0 win over Bristol City which moved them to the top of the table, replacing Preston who stayed unbeaten but could only draw 1-1 at Rotherham.

Ipswich continued their excellent start to life in the Championship with a thrilling 4-3 win over Blackburn.

Plymouth scored six goals in a Championship match for the first time in more than 36 years as they thrashed Norwich City at Home Park and Swansea earned a first win of the season with a comfortable 3-0 win over winless bottom side Sheffield Wednesday.

Middlesbrough also earned a first win of the campaign with victory over Southampton who, after a good start, have now lost four games in a row.

Leeds were dominant 3-0 winners over Watford, while Millwall missed a penalty in a goalless draw with West Brom.

Stoke have been done both times with a long ball over the defenders' heads and Hull have got in.

Defending in and around the box has let Stoke down. Two goals in two minutes has deflated the crowd because Stoke have struggled this season to come back after conceding the first goal.

Both goals were avoidable and that's the frustrating part of it.

Hull are doing ok and have found the pockets of space that Stoke have failed to do. They deservedly lead the game.

The first half-an-hour was pobably the worst football both sides have played this season.

But it just takes something. Hull got themselves up and running with the first goal and then the second came straight after.

They look better now, they have a spring in their step.

That save is the last action of the half.

You'd think Hull would be happy but there seems to be a heated argument between Aaron Connolly and Jean Michael Seri as the players leave the pitch.

Not sure what that's about.

Anyway, Hull's two goals in two minutes came out of nowhere to stun Stoke.

Big half-time team talk coming up for Alex Neil - this would be no win in five if it stays the same.

Interesting point by Stavros there - Jaden Philogene impressed for Aston Villa in pre-season and a lot of fans expected him to stay with the club this season and were surprised to see him go.

There is believed to be a buy back clause so we might see him in the Premie League before long if he does well at Hull.
